Barerra would have caught khan with left hooks and ko'd the little cocky twat.

he chose to carry on.
End of discussion
Barrera is a warrior not a pussy he will carry on nomatter what, he's not Hasim Rahman. He did chose to carry on, but doc should have stopped it.
If doc allowed him to continue in round 4 why not allow him in round 5? the cut hasn't really changed from round 4 to 5 has it?
right. so you have a massive gash in your head, you cant see because of the blood running in your eye, your getting hit and you cant see them coming, so you tell the ref and he stops it, its ruled a n.c. but you are a pussy? behave. mab has been a boxer for years, he knows the rules and he knows the game, if it effected him that much he shouldve stopped.
the doc & the ref are there for the safety of the boxer. How many boxers willingly quit? Only to be called by forum warriors and sections of the press as quitters.

i dont think there was anything they could do about that gash.
everyone noticed the shot, he stiffened khans legs
can you do much to heal up a 3" gash with your little bottle & swabs?
apart from Khan who was convinced he would have killed Barrera in the next round or two.

yes he did. so what makes any one think that MAB could not ko khan .then if mab landed another left hook on khan whats to say khan could have got floored and gone for the count by the ref? i just cant wait till he faces a Romovou or a guzman. he will get ko'd then everyone can stop saying his world class figther. when clearly he isn't .the only time i will have somthing positive to say about khan is when he faces Romovou and Ko's him or a Diaz .manges to do the same.if
he cant get passed david Diaz then what are the chances he can fight a anyone in the top LWs in the world?

fair point, but the ref wasnt called in till round 4, barrera said he could see fine, the ref stopped it after he was called in again. if barrera knew it was that bad he shouldve quit, and i dont think he was thinking i better not quit so they dont call me names on boxrec.
why didn't the ref look at the cut in the 1st? why didn't the doc? was the doc looking at the cut inbetween rounds?
It's not up to Barrera whether he is fit to fight or not.
I've seen fighters who can't stand arguing with a ref that they are fit to fight. Should they be allowed to continue?
The fact that he was wiping blood out of his eye and on to his shorts & screwing up his eyes when they clinched should be enough don't you think?

yeah but whats to say khan couldnt ko barrera? you are talking pure speculation.
nothing except he couldn't put away a blind man and of the few times Barrera found the target Khan stiffened. So like we're saying. IMO this fight proves nothing and should have been called off.

the cut are unrelated
Never said they were related, I'm saying Barreras people were stupid for accepting a fight on somebody elses terms after a bad cut sustained six weeks before a massive fight.

for some reason i cant quote a reply by JAMESMCDONNELL
so ill just have to write this.
Rubbish, Barerra did not come to win, you could tell by his body language before the start of the fight. The fact of the fight was Khan was fighting a 35 year old guy who was shot, the size difference was also a factor, plus the speed of the 2 guys. wether i know anything about boxing or not, i said before the fight that Khan would win, it was a great pick that opponant.
Im not getting into any arguments regarding this bout as its only sport.

The real question is who will they find to put a PPV on next time, khan wont be put in with anybody remotely the same size as him and the list of faded legends got very short after saturday. Disgraceful that the fight wasnt stopped after the first round on saturday even though MAB would have needed a rocket launcher in the ring to make it an even fight what with the ref (should never be allowed to ref again after looking at the cut for 12 minutes) letting it go on until he could stop it without a NC.
The sooner this khan PPV **** stops the better because he SHOULD NOT be PPV. I want to like the guy i really do but the vomit inducing rhetoric by sky and Fwanks puppets prevents this from ever happening.

Not really Khans fault then is it.
I'm pretty sure we'd do the same if we were in the same situation.

For me, had the fight continued Khan would have won. I don't think Barrera would have landed frequently enough with his powerful, but telegraphed shots to get the KO.
However, what Barrera was doing before the cut was slipping Khan's shots well. There was a little spell early in the fight in which Khan was going for the flurries, and Barrera parried or slipped every one of them. I think Barrera would have outboxed him, had he not had the cut.
But it is IMPOSSIBLE to say - thats why a no contest should have been scored, it is actually the definition of the term a no contest.

I agree with the general sentiment here, but annoyed because it makes me sound like sour grapes. Barreras fighting was massively hindered by the huge gash. They let it roll on past the 4th to gift Amir the win. Barrera did seem to be starting to land...
Its just an empty misleading result for Amir in my opinion, i think his legions of fans are in for a let down if they think this is a brand new & improved Amir. Ho hum.
