*INCOMING SHOCKING NEWS*

In his interview with Helweni Conor has said he has no interest in defending his 155 title. UFC never asked him to defend 145lb title before stripping him but he was willing - ya know aside from the times he wasn't.

I loved seeing Shevchenko submit Pena. Can't stand Pena and Shevchenko is among my top ten favorite fighters.

It was awesome and I agree Pena is just completely insufferable. She's up there with the Rousey type of insufferable TBH.

Unless they didn't show it she never congratulated Valentina either. That's not a huge deal for me, but you'd think someone so confident of "beating the brakes" off somebody would have owned up to it :OhYes:

Sucked seeing Cowboy lose but his game plan was awful tonight. He shouldn't have been allowed to come out for round 2 in my opinion. He was out and never recovered.

Even though Arlovski has no chin left at all I thought Ngannou was still impressive and his defence looked good. I though he would win due to Arlovskis chin but didn't expect it to be off a nice counter.

Cowboy fight should've been stopped in the first and Herb had waved it off so I don't know why he changed his mind or even why he was allowed to change his mind. Shitty call IMO. Masvidal still didn't look that great IMO, lots flaws in his boxing that I see that guys with better boxing than Cowboy.

Shevchenko was impressive, those TDs off the knee were bread and butter Muay Thai and exploited well. Peña didn't respect her ground game and pretty much gave her the arm. Great win though and I'm excited for her vs Nunes again.

Ngannou did look good but I still need to see more.

They claimed the bell rang and thats why Herb jumped in, but even on the reply you could see he jumped in about a second before the bell. Honestly I think he didn't want to get booed out of the house!

Exactly, if it seems for the end of the round you don't start waving it off. Could be trying to show consistency after the Anderson Silva situation though I guess.

Dana states that is Conor decides to butt heads with the UFC that it will be an epic fall for him.

Khabib is making Conor do some crazy things.

They need to set a standard for bouts that have finishes at the bell. In Invicta a couple weeks back a girl got choked unconscious but the ref didn't step in. The bell sounded, they revived this girl who had been out cold a good 4-5 seconds and she ended up winning the decision. That's not right.

They're saying that the Ali act may cover him but no one really knows for sure as the UFCs contract may not actually be in breach of the Ali act. During Wards legal disputes he only had one fight in about 3 years and he still wasn't able to win anything in court. I doubt that Conor can get out of his contract because of the Ali act. The hard thing for any athlete going up against a big company like the UFC is they can just drag out the process, the money won't be as big of a deal to them as it will to Conor. Conor won't only lose his physical prime not fighting but he will start to lose a shit ton of money as well. There's only goin to be one winner here.

After all her outrage about not being gifted a title shot, Pena shit the bed. Good, she's a drunk bar-fighting moron anyway.

Nunes/Shevchenko II will be a good fight. If Rousey doesn't retire, they could do Pennington/Rousey as a #1 contender fight. Or maybe Pennington/McMann, assuming McMann beats Carmouche. It's a shame they pushed Holm up to form that absurd 145 pound division because 135 is thin enough as it is.

I wonder what's next for Ngannou. Maybe Barnett?

This is the guy who now controls the UFC. He is the was the inspirations for and supposedly the real life Ari Gold. Conor needs to tap out now. He's not going to win. They can and will if needed, tie him up legally until the Floyd fight is long gone. I know he is saying he wants the UFC to be part of the promotion because it'll be easier but one liners like they need to know their place etc say that he thinks their place isn't where he thinks it is.

Can't believe people paid money to watch a McGregor interview opposite the UFC event. Conor is playing with fire saying these things. He used to talk about loyalty, yet he is now biting the hand that feeds.

I think they should give him a fight that can get him into a title shot. Would love to see some new blood going for a title or at least fighting the top guys.

Agree 145lb women's division is probably going to suck for a while but so did the women's 135lb division and it's grown into a decent division with some good match ups.

Women's 145 is trash. They're building it by pulling 2 fighters (one coming off 2 losses, one not even a high level contender) up from 135 and having them fight for a phony title. Cyborg is the only decent fighter in that weight class and she's pissed hot twice now and won't be fighting for the rest of the year most likely. It's ridiculous.

I saw another interview with Halloway. Not forgetting he was the one who couldn't fight in Brooklyn after the original where Waldo speech. Ya know to go to Disneyland etc. He starts in about where's Waldo again but then starts talking about how he's going to be out for a few more months because he is filming a movie. Dude needs to shut the fornicate up, he's the one who's holding the fight up and has been since December. He just gets more unlikable every time he opens his mouth now.

Yeah... it seems Max is going through some sort of transition. I think he's been trying to make himself a bit more marketable since getting beat by McGregor. It just doesn't work with him. He just needs to be himself.

Bec's hair is the only reason she's still in the UFC.

Some good fights on this card, I'm looking forward to Vick/Trujillo.

Andrade/Hill is actually a really good women's fight. Half the main card is junk though.
