I think it will be a win for Iran and a loss for Israel in the sense that the US will completely leave the Middle East, no way will they spend billions rebuilding all the bases that have been destroyed. Netty has scored the best own goal ever seen.

Well the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia which funded the LIV Golf organization just recently filed for bankruptcy. It's good to see them lose massive amounts on their sportswashing spending.

Well Trump has refused direct military aid to the Saudis, so that's a good thing. This War has definitely been interesting, who would have imagined in their wildest dreams last year that Iran would practically shutdown every US base in the Middle East, force Israel to the sidelines, and that the Houthis would make the Saudis beg for military help.

There were probably plenty of smart military folks/experts who predicted a shitshow. The problem is none of them work for/have sway in the Trump/Hegseth administration

Economic enlistment for indebted military-age Americans

The narrative war on the domestic American front has already failed. The Pentagon has not been able to sell this war to the American public because the war has been rhetorically fused with Israel's operations in Gaza, and the American public rejects the fusion.

Recruitment numbers are running below what a ground invasion of Iran would require. Estimates for a successful ground campaign against Iran's 31 provincial commands and its Mosaic Defense Doctrine run between 750 thousand and 1.5 million American troops. The current active US Army stands at roughly 452 thousand. The math does not work, obviously.

Based on American history, however, there is a path forward. Not conscription or a draft in a world war-era sense, but enlistment through a “debt forgiveness program.”

The average American aged 18 to 34 carries more than $40 thousand in non-mortgage debt across student loans, credit card balances, auto loans, and personal loans, with some estimates go as high as $100 thousand.

This is the cohort the Pentagon needs. A federally administered debt-forgiveness enlistment program that fully discharges student loan, credit card, and loan balances after 24 or 36 months of service, and extends the GI Bill, would produce voluntary enlistment at scale.

This is not theoretical.

It is the American state doing what the American state has always done when it needed staff it could not otherwise generate. World War II offered the GI Bill. Vietnam offered college deferments. The post 9/11 wars offered signing bonuses and citizenship pathways. The Iran war will need to offer debt relief. The economics of the indebted American 20-and 30-something make this the most efficient conversion mechanism available to the Pentagon and the Trump administration.

States generate the soldiers they need through the incentives that work on the population they have.

We hate Iran and Iraq, and confuse them because there is just one letter of difference, but we love Saudi Arabia even though the vast majority of the hijackers were Saudi. Trump loves oil but his right hand guy Elon Musk's has done quite a bit for EVs and solar. Far Lefters want 3rd world immigration. These immigrants hate gays. I'm slightly left of center on most things but right on immigration. I only want immigrants who will try to adapt to the culture of the country they come to. If you come to try and turn this country into the one you left then I don't want you, stay the fuck home. Bringing your language and customs is fine as long as you don't break the laws and constitution of this country. Wanting to change the laws of this country to suit your culture is a big no go. No parallel society should ever be tolerated.

The only way we’re gonna save the planet and the natural environment is to come up with an alternative to fossil fuels and to also acknowledge that unlimited continuous growth is impossible when we’re dealing with finite resources.

There are only so much fish in the oceans to catch, only so much minerals in the ground to dig up and only so much arable land to grow crops on without having to destroy all the world’s forests to increase crop production.

Unlimited growth is impossible and unsustainable on this planet without destroying the whole ecosystem of the planet and especially with population growth fueling the need for more of everything.

It’ll be a slow death spiral if we don’t reduce the world’s population and stop stripping the planet of all its resources and this is my main point of contention with capitalism. At some point humanity has to realize that we can’t continue to strip the world of everything to maintain growth.

Net results were was the Airline Legislation was killed by Reps going into the 2000 elections which was the most contested and incompetent elections in history.

Now, the FBI had files on most of the 9/11 Hijackers and knew many had been taking flying lessons and did nothing.

Here is the 9/11 Congressional Report that shows most all the Hijackers to be a bunch of goofy college kids, but somewhere in time Binny managed to radicalize them into 9/11. Most set off initial Airline warnings that were overridden>>>>> to Rump.
