It was a great 4 days of fishing and camping with Frankie, TV Ray and his son Pepe, Pepe's son Roland and Pepe's friend Mitch. But most of all spenting time with Frankie, even though he has his home across the street from us, we don't get together often. It has to do with his wife, I don't want write anything about it here, maybe some day when we are together in person I can tell you all about it.

Randy, Convict is a great lake to fish at, and its so beautiful...

I didn't know that you had been there....

It's a funny thing about the food we grew up with. It continues to nourish us for the rest of our lives. We grow up, try different foods, learn to like it, learn love a lot of it. But when it comes to the food that reaches deep down inside of us, it's still the food that we grew up with that fully satisfies us. It's the food that you grew up with that will fix you up when you feel sick, bring you back when you feel down. For me and you Frank, it's Menudo con pata, Chorizo con huevos or Chle Verde. Good simple mexican food. made with love.

It's been a few years since I have been in the Sierra's but I have fished most of the lakes in the area, including the Twin Lakes, Crowley, and the June Lake loop, as well as the Owen's river.

I'm no fisherman, but I have a childhood friend that lives up in Bridgeport.
He fishes a lot at Convict Lake which is close to where he lives.
He loves the place. He calls it his "Heaven on Earth".

Rick, in Bridgeport, 13 miles away you have twin lakes, 2 of the best lakes to fish for trout in California.

I call the Bridegport area "God's Country"
