Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - Who wins? ** new poll **
fury obviously looked much better on their last showings, but who knows what might happen between now and whenever this fight happens (if it ever does)
that said, fury has more to work with and on recent form you gotta favour him

The battle of the 2 men who can't beat Usyk.
It's still interesting, even if it's somewhere between 5 - 8 years too late.
The only thing is, once they've had the inevitable rematch and possible 3rd fight, what next?
Would anybody be interested in seeing these two against Usyk again?

No interest in seeing either of them lose to Usyk again. There will be interest in their fight but I'm not really interested. Both coming for a payday now and who cares who wins when Usyk has beaten both of them twice each.Syntax Error wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 01:44 The battle of the 2 men who can't beat Usyk.

Darn right!
Still a good fight if Fury doesn't blow out.
Amazing how long we have had to wait, and yet I want it.
I can't say the same for Benn/Eubank or the Khan/Brook fight, but this one....

Benn and Eubank are still household names whereas Steve Collins is long forgotten.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 01:51No interest in seeing either of them lose to Usyk again. I think AJ would knock Fury out.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - Who wins? ** new poll **
I agree , AJ just seems more chinny and does'nt want to pull the trigger , a motivated Tyson Fury will go for him and i think stop AJ

I would heavily favour Fury, but AJ can turn a fight with one punch. If he lands clean, it's game on.

Everything in Riyadh Season is realistic.

When was the last time Fury looked good? Wilder 2? He was gun shy last night and terrified of getting hit. Maybe his chin is gone. I thought he lost vs Ngannu for crying out loud and the shot that dropped him wasn't even worth much. Usyk had no trouble getting punches home last night either.
AJ is rubbish but the guy has massive power and hits clean as a whistle, he'd put Fury's lights out.

He lost both fights with Usyk but still won some rounds so it's not like he's finished at all, he's just never gonna bear Usyk, AJ has great power but his head has completely gone IMO, can't see him living with any top fighter these days.Ricky wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 08:33Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 05:44Fury is still very good just a bit behind Usyk I think he'll stop AJ fairly easily

This is still a massive fight. Bring it on (in the UK).
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - Who wins? ** new poll **
It's a big fight, it's a money maker, I still think Fury is clearly the second best on the planet
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - Who wins? ** new poll **
Fury simply couldn`t handle the strength of Ngannou, even Usyk didnt look out-muscled at any point.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 09:05He lost both fights with Usyk but still won some rounds so it's not like he's finished at all, he's just never gonna bear Usyk, AJ has great power but his head has completely gone IMO, can't see him living with any top fighter these days.Ricky wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 08:33Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 05:44

AJ will possibly be the strongest and biggest hitting guy Fury will have faced. Yes Fury may be able to tie and mess AJ about for a 12rnd decision, but Fury is quite easy to hit nowadays and looks more fragile taking big shots - as the novice Ngannou showed - so AJ would probably be all wrong for Fury.
Its a fight that is a good few years too late, but like the Pacman vs Mayweather, it still has intrigue.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - Who wins? ** new poll **
You could be talking about either Joshua or Fury there but you are deciding that it only applies positively to Fury while no doubt it's negative for Joshua.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 09:05He lost both fights with Usyk but still won some rounds so it's not like he's finished at all, he's just never gonna bear Usyk, AJ has great power but his head has completely gone IMO, can't see him living with any top fighter these days.Ricky wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 08:33Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 05:44

I do too, but both he and Usyk are knocking on.
Fury peaked for me around the time of Chis 2/Hammer/Wlad. Usyk peaked versus Breidis/Gassiev/Bellew, who were all peak then too.
Re Josh: it's definitely a compelling fight. For me more than ever. I always had Tyson well clear of Joshua and wasn't as interested as most, but with his feet slowing down a bit, it's a very exciting fight now. Fury has nothing like the dig of Dubois. It would be a war.

Did you see AJ's last fight? He got destroyed. For what it's worth I'd much rather AJ winjoshj909 wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 10:41You could be talking about either Joshua or Fury there but you are deciding that it only applies positively to Fury while no doubt it's negative for Joshua.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 09:05He lost both fights with Usyk but still won some rounds so it's not like he's finished at all, he's just never gonna bear Usyk, AJ has great power but his head has completely gone IMO, can't see him living with any top fighter these days.Ricky wrote: ↑22 Dec 2024, 08:33

Don't get me wrong, I would still watch it, but the fight doesn't enthuse me like it once would have.
I just see it as a cash out battle between two giant guys who failed to beat a "gap toothed middleweight " (copyright L T Fury) in 2 attempts each.

It has to be next or it will never happen. Both on losing streaks - nothing to lose and money to be made. It’s still a massive fight - none of them deserve a chance at Usyk again, Fury could fight Dubois next year perhaps if he wins but more than likely Daniel would go with Usyk so leaves Fury free for 2025.
Also it’s the first time I am quite confident Fury will win it. Always thought it was pretty even but i think Fury would end up stopping Joshua now

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - Who wins? ** new poll **
Fury is not really and never was a banger. A flicker style and a big lump who mauls you.
Couldn't outmuscle Ngannou who was stronger than him. Uysk did not have many issues with his strength, either time.
AJ is more robotic but very physically strong and the much bigger puncher. That flicker style might have some success but feel he will get cracked (Fury), more than once.

This fight is still a major one between 2 of the major British Heavyweights in a time when the British Heavyweight Boxing scene has never been stronger.
If Fury wins a fight between he and Dubois would be big business as well. If he loses well...that's Boxing and we shall see.
