I put a tenner on Provodnikov win - get 11/10 - I don't know if that's good or bad but seeing the weigh in photos tipped it for me.

No thanks. I expect Brook to stop him.

Wilder to knock out firtha early?

Anywhere taking bets on Maciel v Rose? Fancy "La Bestia" to stop Rose inside 8 with a body shot, though I imagine he'll be an under-dog to win anyway.

I would have thought so.
However the odds on Firtha stoppage are bound to be priced generously. He is a bit tougher than a lot of Wilder's foes, and if he could just get to that glass chin...would be an astronomical upset obviously. I might stick a few quid on the early rounds for Firtha if I can get 80/1 or so for each of the rounds.
OK, looking at Firtha going the distance with a couple of 'top' guys recently (well, Povetkin and Banks) I have talked myself into throwing the upset into an accumulator. If it does happen I can see it happening when Wilder gets frustrated and tired fighting naively, hitting arms for four or five rounds with those massive looping shots, then Firtha tucking up and landing shots of his own on the glass chin.
Firtha isn't a puncher but Wilder has been so protected there MUST be something up with that chin, and if that massive frame of his punches itself out I can see a scenario where he's dead on his feet, like Price, and ready to be knocked over.
Having said all that, obviously Wilder KO1 is very likely.

Ok. So, so far we've got Wilder early, Firtha K.O, Firtha Distance and Wilder Round 1.
Anything else?

Haha.
I just think if Firtha can stick around and ride the storm he has a better chance than the odds will give him, IF Wilder is that chinny, which I think he is.
But Firtha sticking around is a massive if.

The draw is available at the extremely rubbish price of 40-1! 200-1 is more realistic. For an outside bet you can get Firtha at between 100-1 and 150-1 on various rounds

On further reflection (!) I just don't think Firtha has enough to do it.
There was one fight a couple of years ago where Steffen Kretschmann (one of my favourite prospects at the time) went in with Denis Bakhtov and Bakhtov was 100/1 for rounds which was amazing looking back on it. There were a few wise insiders (Dutch Windmill I think was one, whatever happened to him)? who knew about Kretschmann's chin issues, and Bakhtov went in and knocked the hot favourite out. It's one of those gutting missed opportunities, me and lefthook82 wallowed over that one for a while. The difference was Bakhtov was a tough nut gatekeeper with a bit of dig but he was totally overlooked, while Firtha is a slightly lower level career journeyman.
Feel like Wilder is about to be one of those guys like Kretschmann. Firtha might not be the guy to do it, but I believe all it's going to take is a Dominic Guinn-level guy to do the job. When Wilder faces that type of opposition there could be a big windfall ahead.

30/1 Firtha inside the distance with paddy power, got to be worth £5.

Yeah that's absolutely mental, the next best price is 16/1! Don't know how that happened.
I watched Firtha at the time against Fury but couldn't remember much about him. I saw clips of his fight with Povetkin on Youtube just now and it looks like he can't crack an egg, but then I see he stopped Tony Grano in two rounds, which seems like an absolute freak result. Does anyone know anything about the Firtha/Grano fight?

What about the Brook bout tomorrow? Is it worth a tenner punt on Senchenko?

I don't rate Brook he always starts quick and ends up in a war, I've put a speculative tenner on worse things.

Brook inside the distance for me took the early evens for a few bob, also backing Macial to stop Rose.

Callum Smith 1/9
Anthony Joshua 1/50
Brian Rose 11/8
Kell Brook inside 12 8/13
Deontay Wilder inside 10 1/25
Bernard Hopkins inside 12 4/1
Arthur Abraham 1/10
What do you think of this accumulator? £5 returns £155 only one I am worried about is Hopkins.

I think Maciel beats Rose and Hopkins won't stop Murat in a month of Sundays. Brook stopping Senchenko is another I wouldn't be waging money on. The rest should be ok for you.

I just think Hopkins would want to impress v someone like Murat surely? and Rose will get a dodgy decision I think and Brook has to make a statement. Worth a punt anyway.

I really doubt Hopkins stops anybody.
