Not a clip you can pull out of that entire press confrence to go viral and sell ppvs.
The 'slept together' part alone can be pulled out and do the hype.

Both pubs in my village are showing the fight - first time since the AJ/Klit fight.

Another reason I think the PPV will suffer. Spoke to a landlord yesterday. He is getting it. £260 for his pub. He reckons (anecdotal I know) that people won't shell out at home for this one because you can't make a full night of it (no undercard) and instead will have four or five pints (£20) in the pub. He expects about 100 folk and there are another five pubs within 200m of that one all showing it.

of those 100 he thinks he would get how many would buy it? probably only a couple i recon at a guess (couple of groups of people, but thats only a couple of buys). queensberry are probably better off with the 260 quid.

Lots of pubs showing it is always a positive sign.

FW shows always run until the wee small hours but I guess there’s a Wembley curfew, so what time do we think ring walks? 10?

Here's the list on the BT website. I'm not going to count them but it seems like a lot.

At least when you watch fights at the pub, the general hubbub drowns out the commentary, and if your really lucky the action in the carpark will be better than this undercard

A few shy of 5,100 pubs × £260 = £1.3m

As a point of order, not all pubs pay the same, it's based on rateable value (I think), some will be less, some will be more.

I read it depends on how many screens the pub has as well..

If this was being promoted by Eddie in the Sky days you'd get never ending hype of Sky Sports News and all the other programming too. If a fighter sneezed there would be a newsflash and there would be Adam Smith growling at every press conference manufacturing some sort of newsworthy event to be replayed.
I wonder if all the tickets bought for resale might be left unsold now ?

I hope they do some good camera pans so we can see if there’s empties.
There’s just no fuckin way there’s gonna be 94,000 arses on seats.

There is. People who have bought for resale and haven't got rid will just drop the price and graft them outside. Nobody is going to think "oh well, I'll just bin them".

might be worth hanging around outside and see if you can pick up a cheapie ? I used to do that back in the days of the cartels shows at the Albert Hall, wait till near the start and the touts would be giving them away. Once it has started the ticket is worthless

I thought initially that 94,000 was a lot of seats.
But then the Wilder trilogy has made Tyson hit the big time. He wasn't half filling medium venues before he went to Germany to fight Wlad, that's why it was held there so Wlad could help generate a crowd.
Then as the weeks rolled on after all the tickets got bought up for resale, and no undercard was announced, and then it was announced, I was concerned about bums on seats.
No worries for Fwank, he has sold it out, but suck arse for all the resellers who will be scalping hard out on the night, serves them right, I hate scalping.
And good luck to any true boxing fans who missed out, may you get a good seat at a bargain price!
