Chilemba's barely got a mark on him. Slippery fighter, to his credit.

Hearn will have a hard time selling a re-match, though.

Eddie Hearn enjoyed it, wants to make it again. Bonus.

Bellew trying to justify winning because he was the home town fighter. I know boxers are emotional after fights but please....!

McCrory and Nelson are right for once, Bellew didn't do enough to win it so probably a fair result.

Commentators were a joke. Totally ignored a ton of shots from him, saying he did not get started when i saw him picking and landing.

In the 3rd or 4th they said he was not even trying when i saw him throwing zingers and landing. Then one round they banged on about him missing a lot of shots, all falling short which they were BUT Bellow landed nowt either. Very very biased

Johnny is right, fair result for me and I thought it would be a draw

I had it 116-113 Bellew.

Sky commentary team was an absolute joke during that fight, I know the Sky is hitched onto Eddie Hearns wagon but there is no way Bellew won that fight comfortably. Two very average fighters in a messy awkward horrible fight. At least Johnny Nelson -for all his faults- called it down the middle at the end.

Bellew is an absolute sh!thouse by the way, he should be thankful he didn't get to Dawson because he is Euro level at best and will get smashed if he gets past Chilemba into to anyone at the top level

I know Tony reads and posts here so I wonder how he will feel when no fans here sound like they think he was robbed, most had him edging it, a draw as a far result and some also leaning toward the other geezer. Even Conteh had it a draw.

Ya, the commentators were extremely biased.

One of the most biased recent performances from a commentary team imo.

The SKY team in the studio are telling it like it is. The cynic in me says there's someone gauging the mood of social media and a swift tactical change is in operation.

Bellew saying he should have gotten the decision as he was the home fighter was very naiive. I think he won but you don't automatically win a fight because your the 'hometown hero'.

He threw it away, if he'd have taken it to Chilemba he would have won. Don't agree with the decision but he can't have any complaints.

I had it 114-114 :yay:I thought Bellew was too cautios again, safety first probably isnt the correct phrase but i dont think Bellews punches are as intimadating as his personality suggests, infact the whole Light Heavyweight division is pish,Nathan Cleverly is the most exciting lets get him in with Dawson or Hopkins then forget about the place,
Would anybody else prefer if we were shown less heavier fights and more flyweights especially the world scene

Is Bellew fighting Ajisafe next or not?

Bellew's mouth will keep him getting opportunities but his boxing shouldn't. He doesn't have the power he thinks he has, nor the 3 gameplans. He's slightly deluded and genuinely thinks he's levels above where he actually is.

His best performance was against cleverly but beyond that he's not really done enough to be considered anywhere near world class in my opinion.

The problem Bellew has got is he throws punches like he's got premature rigamortis, he's so stiff when he's throwing punches and his footwork isnt much better. The higher he's going in terms of levels the more his opponents can see the punches coming.

I think Chilemba nicked it by a couple of Points. It's hard to believe Bellew was considered a big puncher in the Ams. He was terrible tonight, I don't rate Chilemba much either. Ward would beat both while warming up for a fight. Dawson would stop Bellew, Cloud would outwork him, Hopkins would retire him. I think folk have been calling him world class of the back of Clev fight. Lets see Clev prove himself first. Tony has not lived up to his own hype.

Aside from the very poor boxing, Tony really made a fool of himself in there with the psycho act. No class at all. He should have used his energy to beat up Chilemba.

He was a puncher in the am's and at domestic level in the pro's. Tony is finding out, as thousands before him have, that they dont go over as easy when you move up to top class. For a start, you have got to be able to hit them...
