maybe a combination of drugs AND bum banditry.
Maybe Brook had pounded so much Charlie that he was softer than Paul Smith’s gut and the guy lashed out with the machete in disgust?
It could of course been Brook refusing to grant the reacharound. Happens quite frequently in stabbing cases
