That's the million dollar question mate.

Povetkin's performance against Huck was due to his stamina problems. This has been fixed. Just check out Povetkin's last few fights. Additionally, while Huck is technically limited, he had a very good chin (probably not that much any more) and was known for his excellent stamina. I do not think highly of Wilder, neither as a professional boxer nor as a person. I would bet on a KO win by Povetkin in round 4. Wilder is not steady on his legs and if he eats one of Povetkin's uppercuts he will go down. Povetkin is a very difficult fighter to deal with. He has an awkward style that irritates many fighters as he tends to suddenly rush into enemies head first while widely swinging.

I'm not a fan of Deontay Wilder, but I hate when people are using double standards. When Povetkin beat Charr, everybody were praising him like he was the second coming of prime George Foreman. But when Wilder easily beat the guy who beat Charr, people are saying "What a sh1tty fighter, he is getting destroyed in his next fight!". Thats a perfect example of double standards used by boxing fans.

I don't recall him being extremely highly praised in general for beating Charr. I think it would be more fitting to say that he's gained respect and is seen by many as the #2 fighter in the division partially due to a solid string of wins that included his destruction of Charr and his stoppages of Takam and Perez, both of whom are better than Duhaupas in my opinion.

I disagree. I think Stiverne is overrated based on his wins over Arreola and it seems to me that people were quick to forget that he was handily outboxed for nearly 10 rounds by 40 year old Ray Austin and held to a draw by a journeyman not many fights before that. Stiverne is also the only top 10 opponent Wilder has fought, and including him I'd say that Wilder has only fought 3 top 30 opponents (Stiverne, Scott, and Duhaupas).

I wouldn't be surprised if Deontay beat Povetkin, but I want to see him consistently fight better opposition so I can get a better idea of how good he is.

I would favor Povetkin currently against Wilder but Wilder has the eraser and would never be out of the fight. It would be close to a pick em fight at the sportsbooks.
