I caught up on Yoka-Hrgovic and I had the the Croatian winning that. The benefit of the doubt went Yoka's way in all his close bouts at the worlds too.

Joyce ain't one for the purest 's but he's a hard man with a lot of heart. Would not want to get caught sniffing his wife's dirty knickers

I don't see him as anything special. Certainly seems to have struck a chord with those who matter though!

Hrgovic is the most talented super heavy there and I reckon he will go furthest in the paid ranks.

Still buzzing for Joyce. Massive achievement for him given his journey and obvious limitations.

Yoka was a little bit lucky to get through, but there was nothing lucky about Joyce's win, it was hard fought but decisive in the end.

You've got to love Joyce's relentless marauding style: big heart, keeps coming at you, isn't scared to take a shot, throws a lot to the body (which is unusual in the current HW scene: you can really see how much it hurts people too). Really pleased for him he seems to have learned a lot. I thought his Capoeira celebration was a nice touch too. I wonder how he will do in the pros? You hear that he has been stopped a few times but from what I have seen of him he doesn't look chinny...

He isn't chinny. He gets hit so much unless he has a chin of steel then he will get stopped now and then. If he was chinny, with his defence, he'd be getting stopped every other fight.

Good job by big Joe. Ground him down with that relentless ponderousness of his. Weirdly Kevin Mitchell in the Guardian thought Joe was robbed in the first round but that the second round was closer. What the hell was he watching!?

I think Yoka will probably win the final to be honest. If his ankle holds up.

He often sees things differently. I like him as a journalist but he has a few strange moments.

Joyce just needs to start a bit quicker in the final, get Yoka on the ropes , that right uppercut to the body that Joyce throws you can see the look on the face of his opponent thinking 'f*ck that'

yeah, those bodyshots don't seem that impressive to the eye, until you see the effect they have, neither of Joyce's opponents have wanted to know after half a round of bodyshots, feckin great, i love to see a man take another man's soul with bodyshots.

Maybe he does it because his hands are slow and hitting the bigger target that moves less is easier for him?
