I've not seen much of McGregor before other than a couple of clips but I have to say he's making Floyd look stupid he's just much smarter than Floyd it won't help him come the fight but it made me giggle .

Floyd has had to bring out some of the old school grand rapids street slang that he used to use but McGregor is leagues ahead with his Dublin sense of humour I agree. Floyd Sr. gave a better account than Jr. when he crashed McGregors press conference and challenged him to a fight

Sr. has been shot a few times and was running the streets for a while when he was younger so he probably can't understand all this McGregor hype. He can't even get his name right "Conor McGregory"

What's his amateur record like?

By all accounts it wasn't the best.

Take Paddy Gallagher for example. Better amateur than Connor.
In the years that have passed Gallagher has trained boxing full-time. McGregor has trained in other disciplines.

IMO Gallagher would beat McGregor inside 3 rounds. His level is just below British at the moment. Floyd is the best of a generation.

Really is like asking would Daley Thompson beat Carl Lewis over 100 metres.

LOL, one of the most courageous attempts I've seen that was by Hurricane McNeely. Knew he hadn't got an absolute prayer of winning the fight and literally came out throwing the kitchen sink at Tyson in round one. He even landed one of the clearest headbutts I've seen. The chap wouldn't stop throwing punches until he was predictably clubbed to the canvas in seconds by Tyson and then starched to the canvas again soon after. Great example of a 100/1 shot throwing the dice. He was clearly told that his only chance was a lucky punch. And for someone who got done in one round, he looked over the moon in the ring after the fight. Actually looked like he was celebrating

Don't laugh, McNeeley was only one punch away from wrapping Tyson in a cocoon of horror.

McGregor does need to go Hurricane McNeeley. He stands off and he'll be chasing shadows and eating jabs and counters. Better to just train for 4 rounds and come out like an absolute lunatic. Mayweather has brittle hands and hasn't got one punch KO power anyway so he shouldn't be concerned about getting starched. He jumps on Floyd while Floyd is cold and more importantly, hasn't had the chance to adjust, then it gives him the best chance. Every second that the fight goes on favours Floyd as he will be learning the angles, speed, distance, timing and movement of McGregor all the time and once he has that figured out it's all Floyd and probably target practice anyway. If McGregor prepares like that and goes in like that, then he might believe he can do it. Otherwise I think he's settling for a loss and a cheque and will hope he can do 12 without taking too much of a hiding, for a moral victory.

Agreed, Floyd only seems to get hit early on. Before the adjustments.
