I can’t but help love Del Boy. He warmed to the task and produced the goods!
He's boss, was well up for it tonight.

It was almost like the first charge Takam put on him made Del think oh yeah? let’s have it!’

Great performance from him.

Stopping Takam with effectively one shot is quite a statement!

Hope Dereck got a great payday tonight and lands a fight with AJ / Whyte / Parker next

Start to finish?
Well, they stood next to eachother and barely stopped throwing. Derek on the ropes and fighting well off them.
Takam was throwing an incredible amount of punches, landing quite cleanly with the left hook to the head, whilst Del Boy was hitting the body.
Round 8, as they were getting close, Del Boy threw an overhand right that landed on the side/top of Takams head and put him down heavily. It was obviously over then, Howard let it go on - Takam said he was OK, Howard let it go on. Del Boy only needed one more shot - another overhand right and Takam was down and not getting up.

I didn't score it - but I'd have thought Takam was ahead. He was throwing fornicate tons.

I thought Del Boy was in danger of being overwhelmed, could see the ref looking at him on the ropes, end of round 7 Del looked like he was doing just enough to survive and I wondered how much of this he could take, whether the wear and tear would catch up with him, then Del's looping right turned the fight on its head.

He looked in the best shape he has for years. He's shaken shit up with that win, really pleased for him.

Wow! Lost my bet but what a result for Chisora, doing what AJ himself couldn't - legitimately stopping Takam, and that while a mile down on the cards. That has to be his best result, and at 34!

Come on Del Hoy, chase up the Bellew chat!

Seriously though, Hearn is absolutely pissing himself tonight. If Whyte wins, he’s got so many options lined up between his fighters, keeping it all in house, selling big numbers domestically and lining up very beatable options for Joshua.

Looking forward to the fight but still find it bizarre matchmaking. Good chance that Whyte v AJ 2 gets scupered tonight. If Parker does win I don’t think anybody will be be demanding or excited to see him fight AJ again any time soon.
