I thought Canelo fought a beautiful fight tonight.
116-113.
He nullified everything but Golovkin's jab.
The cries of robbery and fix are wishful thinking on the part of Golovkin supporters.
Canelo can move and win. He can stand in the pocket as he did tonight, and win.
I'd love to see a third fight. I don't think it will happen.
Canelo will not reward Golovkin's disrespect during the promotional buildup, by giving him the opportunity to earn another large purse.
Sanity has been restored to boxing.

Then you’re effing blind.
They didn't have a highly visible effect. Punchwise it seemed like a close fight to me, but Canelo was visibly hurt a couple of times. His workrate also dropped noticeably for periods in the second half; more so than Golovkin's.

I rewatched the 11th, which I had missed. Well, now I have Golovkin with 115-113, just like initially in the first fight. But after a closer look to the first fight I changed an opinion a little bit. So I won't blame the today's decision. It a very close fight again.

Anybody who says Canelo win that needs to stick to WWE.
Something a bit simpler that they can understand.

It's like the same few posters defending Canelo, every time. I recall predicting this exact outcome immediately after the first fight - takes little more than common sense. Closer fight = clear Canelo win. What's even left to dispute?
Exactly. GGG had to be a clear winner to get a draw. A close win translates into a loss on Vegas cards. Everybody knew that including Golovkin and Sanchez, but they couldn't win wider.

He claims he didn’t even see them land! He landed them well, and to not see them means you weren’t watching. And they clearly did have an effect. I thought he hurt him to the body quite early on too.

I had G3 winning the first fight 116-112.
I had G3 winning this fight 115-113. I could roll with a draw too I suppose. I don't think Canelo won.
We don't need a third fight. G3 showed some age tonight, and still won to me. He won't improve in a year, just decline a little more where Canelo can get a legit win.
We'll have Canelo vs Lemiuex next is my guess.
My biggest gripe, two fights, 6 scorecards....and G3 can only win one out of a possible 6 cards?!? Come on.....

I had 116-112 for Golovkin. Can see 115-113 as well. I think I had it even after 8 and then Golovkin taking over. I can see Canelo being up after 7 or 8 as well but definitely think GGG dominated the last third of the fight. Thought Canelo was hurt 2 or 3 times between rounds 9 and 11 but recovered brilliantly.
Gutted for Golovkin, had his defining moment stolen by the judges in the first fight.
Great fight though, far better than the first.
Exactly. Only way to see it. Both gave all they had!

fornicate de la hoya! fornicate the paid judges! The ref did a perfect job!

Only Golovkin knows how much of an effect those body punches had, but his face didn't give much away. His sometimes lack of movement could've been a result of them, or just the way he wanted to box (pacing and whatnot), and we couldn't really tell. It felt to me as if he could've handled another 3 better than Canelo, but conjecture again.
My guess is that Golovkin saw most of them coming and took them square, so he was never close to being crippled by any. Canelo was hurt to the head for sure on the other hand, but not badly enough to rid his wits and he covered up well soon after.

He was hurt once but followed it with some great upper body movement to quell and GGG onslaught, loved that.

Canelo just seems to have this older Golovkin's number when it comes to linear punching. He can't beat him punch-for-punch, but his youth lets him create angles that evade and threaten in turn, without the threat ever materialising as dominance. It frustrates Golovkin, but never to the extent that he just loses it and starts swinging for the fences. I think he's just missing a bit of youth in being able to break Canelo down with a higher workrate.

The movement is definitely a big problem for him, early on he was making GGG work just with his footwork when he wasn’t even throwing. He keeps him from really setting his feet and he’s a good enough puncher himself he dissuades Golovkin from just trying to blow him out of there. There was some really great work in there at times, it was a great watch.

Ledderman actully had it right. 116-111 IIRC.

Yeah, that's the thing — Canelo's a hard enough puncher to buy time resting, and Golovkin's a bit too old to force him to work, carrying as that does the risk of getting caught hard on the counter.

This was just a bit closer. Kudos to Canelo. He fought a great fight. I don't think he did quite enough, but even Team GGG knew that they had to do better to come out with the W.
It has been obvious for quite some time now that GGG is not great going backwards and his body is softer than his beard. Team Canelo had a terrific gameplan. Canelo executed beautifully, but GGG fought adequately in the first half and turned back on him second half.
Oh well, he was paid adequately.
