Now Kovalev has proved, that he can avenge losses. However, in Ward case I still don't count the 1st fight as a real loss for Sergey.
I agree. I had him clearly getting robbed in that fight. But these idiots bringing up the 2nd fight with Ward as a robbery is still so ridiculous to me....a Kovalev fan clearly invested in him beating Ward that night in 2nd fight. Give it up dudes. Ur clueless. Kovalev was never ever finishing that fight and quit inside the ring. Don’t reward that. Kovalev clearly lost the fight. Kovalev was hit low all night tonight but none of you said a thing about it.
It’s just a dumb horrible argument. Kovalev clearly lost to Ward in the second. Was robbed in first but shut up now about the second you idiots. No boxing IQ at all with u people.
Ward was fouling and the stoppage was early anyway, even if somehow someone doesn't see the finishing blow as a low one. What could have been in the case of not stopping the fight isn't a really good argument. On the other hand, Kovalev was losing the fight indeed prior to the stoppage, as I've already said, obviously that's why it can't be called a robbery. Just a controversial bout.
He stopped fighting dude. I’ve seen that in maybe 3 fights in history. No one says that Duran was robbed or that Oliver MCcall was robbed. The ref made the absolute correct decision in the fight. Did he miss some blows? Sure. But that wasn’t the story. That big right hand by Ward was. The fight was over after that punch was landed. He was done. If a fighter stops protecting himself and throwing punches, fights over. Plain and simple. Just let it go and give Ward the credit he deserves unfortunately.
Are you comparing that to Duran and McCall? You f*cking kidding?
x2, that was some nonsense.
I mean, while we're wildly reaching for fights to bring up -- remember when Bowe quit against Golota? Oh, wait, no one looked at it that way? Hmm.

It’s the same restaraunt. Not the same booth but same restaraunt. All three chose not to continue their fight because of frustration caused by his opponent.

Here's a fighter who has stopped fighting. Is the referee pulling his opponent aside to congratulate him on his victory?
