Smith and Froch are atrocious and can’t even make up for lack of insight with any sort of personality. Like a couple of insurance salesmen watching their first fight. How do they keep getting work? Especially such high profile stuff
Only Caldwell was decent.

Glad, Nelson was there.

Such BS too. Jacobs lands a straight, hook, uppercut the crowd are slightly. Canelo comes back with a single jab to the body, the crowd goes wild. 10-9 Canelo
I dunno, I think Canelo is also a pretty intelligent boxer. His head movement last night was beautiful.

Yeah I got the impression once it was done and I stuck the sound back on that Coldwell was the only one talking any sense at all

Froch is one of them don’t know shite types who changes his opinions once others start talking too. He’s such a crap pundit.

I thought I might've been too focused on Canelo first time around and neglected Jacobs work but nah although I had it slightly closer it was clear Alvarez
I have no issue with that card. it's only 1 wider than me, I'm not sure Jacobs won a single round clearly.

Thoroughly enjoyed that fight! Was well worth staying up for! Scorecards seemed fair to me. No complaints. Jacobs showed he's a classy guy in and out the ring! Top man! Canelo is a very good counter puncher and his chin is fuckin ridiculous man! He's absolutely solid!

When it’s regular Sky Sports they do upload it quick. Just PPV’s they take a week to upload.

That's because they actually still charge PPV $ if you want to view for a week following. Greedy Bastvrds!

I had Canelo winning the fight by two rounds.
Canelo was outstanding the first few rounds. Fantastic head movement, chin made of granite and spiteful bodyshots.
Jacobs came on strong, but needs to move up a division for me. Can’t keep going to the well at that level.

As for the commentary. It didn’t help that Smith goes to Froch first about situations or fighters he knows nothing about and he gives a generic answer.

Scorecard was awful.

Coldwell was outstanding. Displayed knowledge and insight and finally called Froch out on his awful reading of a fight and knowledge.
His punditry coming out party.

Sky like the three pronged attack lately.
Comms- Andy Clarke
Boxer- Andy Lee
Trainer- Coldwell.

Could be a very good combination for Sky (They obviously won’t do that though)

Not gonna lie man... i thought it was boring.

Canelo is undoubtedly great, in the truest sense of the word, but he faught like Floyd in the sense that he controlled the pace, won what i call "the action-less seconds" of the rounds, just out of sheer ring smarts. Controlled range beautifully. But when you fight like that, you are left with potshots (incredibly hard, accurate, technically sound, counters.... but potshots none the less).

Jacobs is giant at 160, and still lacks power, move up ffs, he's a good fighter, I'd like to think the extreme drain is to get this MW prizefights and not because he thinks he can't make it at SMW

After last week, I'm dropping Canelo below Loma & Crawford. They 2 are in a league of their ownnwhen it comes to combo punching; a trait I value the most.

I had it 6-5-1 to Alvarez. He has really improved in the last few years. Never seen a fighter get so much faster but well that subject's been done to death. Whatever...he is a top drawer fighter.

I thought Jacobs looked to lack his usual spark...possibly a little drained at the weight.

Think people are overboard on Caldwell. He made good points but I also agree with Froch. You can't just ignore volume even when it's not as clean. Making Jacobs miss 3 out of a 5 punch combo is great but it still means you got hit twice.

Sky don't actually commentate on a fight they simply market one of the boxers...sometimes both during the course of a fight but they never actually discuss what's happening. BT/BN are far better.
