Povetkin rematch would've been my choice. I know he got heavily stopped, but he's still probably the most competitive available opponent. Sasha was closing distance and winning rounds.

Ruiz or Hunter have almost no chance and it can't even be said that they deserve the shot.

Mainly Puerto Ricans in NY.

Joshua needs a fight. Ruiz is awful though.

Got to love the heavyweights! Let down after let down

My mate says Ortiz is being considered again, but it's a long shot.

Silly matchup. Nothing interesting about it except over/under on Ruiz weight.

I don't really understand people getting as Joshua here - I mean, it's not like he was slipping a cocktail of pills into Miller's water bottle to avoid fighting him.......or was he? :maybe:

Oh it's Miller's fault. I just don't understand how Ruiz is the best Hearn's could make a deal with.

Who knows, I mean it seems ortiz may have turned down a pretty big payday, but then who can say for certain.

I'd be interested in the explanation as to why he turned it down , career defining big payday .
Bit of a odd one .

The claim from Ortiz' manager is that Ortiz' promoter blew the negotiations trying to hold out for more money, despite the fact Ortiz was being offered $5m+ And he only earnt $500k fighting Wilder.

Numerous suggestions from a number of fighters saying that Ortiz turning down the fight as he is juicing and will test positive if he signs for the fight. Not enough time to cycle the PEDs out of his system. All conjecture and speculation but also very plausible.

I'd be guessing the second one would be near the mark and would have thought Eddie would have been desperate to make the fight .
Shame it couldn't be made as the Ruiz fight is a poor one .

I'd love AJ to cop an unlucky shot and get sparked. Serve Hearn right for serving up poor opponents rather than chasing one of the two people want.

Barry Hearn stated yesterday that AJ is being presented with a list of several names and will have the final say on who, from the willing, gets the fight.
