It would, but I think Whyte lasts much longer than one round. He's a much better boxer than Breazeale.

I think it's because he picks the count up at 5 when he gets over Breazeale.
Though that means it took time to direct Deontay to the neutral corner...
But if you start the count from Breazeale hitting the canvas, it seems reasonable, perhaps even slow...
Anyway, he wasn't continuing after that, not in the first round - that fight was over!

You forgetting to add joshua has been boxing much longer than wilder. Joshua said he hoped breazele could last longer than 7 rounds to make him look good

wilder is 33 and been boxing since he was 19 = 14 years
ajs 29 and been boxing since 18 = 11 years
aj had been boxing for 8 or 9 years when he fought breazeale and wilder 14

Great finish & the thing I liked most about it was that the shot that ended it was a straight right, not one of the wild, roundhouse punches he used to KO Ortiz!! Looks like Breland has Deontay making some stylistic adjustments...he also had a nice body shot & he hardly ever throws those.

he often throws the right nice and straight until he hurts the guy, then he goes all windmill

Breazeale was made for Wilder. Slow and wide opened. Still Wilder failed a bit, when he was caught while windmilling. He just needed someone with more will to fight back to finally get caught for this. And that happened. But yeah, that moment didn't change anything. I just thought, the bout would be a bit longer.

I’ve only just watched the fight and did so on a computer phone, also referred to as an eye phone.
Legit kO and legit stoppage imo especially given Breazeale was hurt moments before however the stoppage made me reflect on The Fury fight. Fury is very lucky he didn’t have that ref imo, the fight would have been stopped.

Nah, Fury was rising better. Fury stood up faster, he wasn't shaky after he regained his ground.

I agree in terms of their conditions however it was stopped before he regained ground (Breazeale) whereas Fury’s wasn’t stopped on the 10 count.

That was extremely impressive. I did envisage that as a possible scenario, and while I did expect Wilder to win, I actually thought that Breazeale's toughness left him in with a good chance of an upset. I'm feeling pretty silly now.
I don't know why the WBC are so hell-bent on keeping Dillian Whyte away from Wilder. He's a better boxer than Breazeale but not so good that he can avoid the right hand all night. We have seen Dillian caught and hurt several times (Joshua, Chisora, Parker, Helenius) and I'd give him only an outside chance of sticking around long enough to knock out Wilder.

The key point is that Whyte can't avoid right hand for all night. Whyte can look good like Szpilka, for example, for about a half of the fight and then gets caught. All those fights against top contenders are good, of course, but not really intriguing. Fury-Wilder-Joshua bouts are most wanted. Wilder's speech after the Breazeale bout is frustrating with all that patience talkings. These fights must be held right now, if history of Lewis-Bowe teaches us something.

And I liked "nobody wanted to see Ruiz or Breazeale" comments. Well, I don't agree with it, cause I wanted to see them myself, but obviously Fury-Wilder-Joshua clashes are more important and time is against us in this situation.

I'd like to see them fight each other. Ruiz v Breazeale is far more appealing than either against one of the champions.
