YAAASSSSSSSSSSS GET IN THERE JOSHT TAYLOR
Incredible fight I had it level at the end but so many rounds were razor tight, it was nigh on impossible to pick a clear winner, both guys left absolutely everything of themselves in that ring tonight, I couldn't have argued if Prograis had got it, it was that kind of fight, Prograis looked excellent super sharp, great head movement and movement in general, loved the jab and his body work, Taylor was taking a but long to get his shots off and was being outworked early but Taylor looked strong and I thought even though he could've jabbed more at times and kept the distance better he was actually better up close as he started to grind Prograis down and his body shots were 1st class as well as was the way he was able to impose his strength on Prograis
Prograis started to look weary and it gave Taylor and the crowd confidence and you sensed the tide shifting after the middle rounds, Taylor looked like his punches carried more authority and TBF Prograis took a lot of clean punches well, especially that right to the body in one of the later rounds, I did have Prograis coming back into it and taking the last 2 rounds to get a draw, cant be robberies in a fight this closely contested , the judges card was harsh mind, I think Prograis hurt Taylor in the last round and had him backing up, Taylor as always came back firing though, both warriors tremendous fight
I'm well chuffed one of my fav nights as a boxing fan

McGuigans eyes lit up with dollar signs!
Hopefully Taylor won't be losing his council flat, bought with the winnings, in a couple of years time
He's moving into a newly built house after this fight. I saw an interview earlier in the week.

Great fight. I had it 6-5-1 to Taylor. Thought he shaded it. Wouldn't have complained if it was scored a draw. Classy interview by Prograis at the end.
Both guys were fantastic. Proper boxing at the highest level.
In another note I'm a bit worried about Kalle. Doesn't look well at all.

Happy for Stu and any other Scott's. Hope you got some blow! No idea who won. The last 2 RDS for prograis were probably the most clear in the fight but both of them elevated themselves. Go figure, 2 top guys in their prime face off and deliver? Boxing can still be great! Taylor/Crawford please.

I can see it anywhere between 8-4 Taylor to 7-5 Prograis, but Progress should have known that in order to get a decision, he needed a CLEAR win which he wasn't even close to.

I think 8 rounds for Taylor is a real stretch. I wasn't actively scoring and a Scotsman was cheering for Taylor, but my gut feeling was Prograis had built a nice lead before Taylor took over, with Prograis maybe just edging the cards with r11 & 12. When they read "117" i felt certain it was going to Prograis.

I had it 6-6, but I knew that judges saw it differently. When they read "117", I was certain that it was for Taylor.

I thought Prograis won tbh by 2 rounds, was a great fight, and Taylor come on strong mid rounds but the crafty little inside work and shots went unnoticed then by the seems of it from Prograis, thought his work was much better quality, his jab, his upper body movement, his balance, but like I say great fight, but don’t think the right man got the decision tonight

I has it 115-113 for Taylor
Prograis was the better boxer for most of the fight, it's just Taylor put the work in to win.
I also thought Taylor had Prograis hurt 3 times during the fight, respect for his grit.

Slept through and had to watch this back.
10/10 fight, was up on my feet and shouting at the telly. I thought Taylor shaded the close rounds on work rate. He sped Reggie up, and at the start it looked like RP was happy to go at that pace, but towards the end with the (I think) broken nose the pace did get to him.
Thought RP was insanely slick on the inside, he was facing to his own left with his hands across his body and rolling JT’s left. Reading the hip movements to roll a shot coming behind him. There were times Taylor threw 3 or 4 Jabs and RP slipped every one. Towards the end he couldn’t do the same. Sign of the pace getting to him.
Fight didn’t disappoint one bit. I’m gonna watch it again now. I wanna see the rematch or Ramirez-Prograis. But I suppose Taylor-Ramirez is the real big fight.

I gave Taylor 7 rounds,1 even and 4 to Prograis. The rounds were tight I just favoured Taylor in most

It’s that old classic situation, lots of close rounds, when scored to one fighter, becomes a wide gap. I kept giving Taylor the rounds on his work rate and ended up quite close to that 117 Card.
