It would be interesting to know the names of the judges that have been appointed by the commission to officiate the bout.
If they’re from a state that has an economic vested interest in Canelo’s continued success, due to the Mexican’s ability to generate revenue that will financially benefit that geographic region, then one could argue their impartiality may be compromised.
I’m hoping that Canelo scores a clear-cut decisive stoppage, because if the Brit somehow defies my personal expectations and provides the Mexican with a very stern challenge, then this could potentially result in a highly-controversial decision.
Come on Bud, you KNOW one of the three judges already-DAVE MORETTI.
I wish the FBI didn’t have so many fish to fry so that they could have enough time to investigate this thief. Since Floyd’s retirement, Moretti is now and will continue being the staple judge for any Canelo fight that isnt already a foregone conclusion already. Trust me.
Dave Moretti is as bought and paid for as any official in the sport. I’d just love to see what the FBI could forensically find through his financials come every Floyd and Canelo fight.

Yeh, should be a clear decision, without controversy.

It would be interesting if BJS will be game and give Canelo a good fight.

Hopefully BJS pulls out a shocking upset. Or at least throws some tacos at Canelo and his team before the fight or maybe even after, if he loses...

18 people think BJS can get a decision?!
Folks. That’s not happening without 3 knockdowns.

Granting the larger point that of course Saunders has already lost on the cards -- isn't Moretti actually the one dude anywhere that has dared to score a fight *against* Canelo?

I knew that BJS would, at some point, put this fight in jeopardy and here we go. Less than a week to go and he’s threatening not getting into the ring. However, this time I think that he’s got a good point. If the ring size was part of the dialogue inside the contract and the assembled ring is that much smaller than what was agreed upon then that’s on Canelo.
If Canelo and his team aren’t going to fix this issue and bring in a new ring in line with contracted dimensions then I’m with BJS this time and I hope that he holds out. The size of the ring could be a huge factor with each guys game plan. It’s worth fighting over.

his dad complained about the ring size, then admitted in the same intervieew he didnt know what size ring is specified in the contract lol

He wants the biggest ring so he can run away from the beating he's going to get given. He's shitting himself.
It will be hilarious if he pulls out of the fight because the ring was too small. That will be an embarrassment he'll never be forgotten or forgiven for.

Is this coming from Saunders personally or Saunders' team? If the former, he really doesn't have that winners mentality.

If (big if) the ring is smaller than contract then BJS should either ask for an absurd amount of compensation or to get the ring specified in the contract. But I’m sure canelos lawyers can work there way around a contract pretty well.

the bbbc doesnt even allow rings bigger than 20 feet, and these mofos whining about not getting a 22 foot ring
although, bjs's ring might be 22 feet when canelo is done with him

John Ryder is flying out to Texas to replace BJS if he pulls out.
I highly doubt he will..

The Saunders-Canelo situation is weirdly reminiscent to the Fury-Klitschko ring canvas controversy.
Considering Saunders and Fury are close friends, it doesn’t surprise me to see Billy Joe employing similar mind-games with Canelo that Tyson employed immediately prior to the Klitschko bout.
It would be naive, almost childish, to genuinely believe that this so-called “controversy” is anything other than pre-fight mind-games.

To think Canelo will be fazed by this is idiotic.

You’re probably right. The same tactic definitely disrupted Klitschko’s preparations against Fury, so who knows for sure?
For me, Saunders’ mind-games, if sincere, then they reek of desperation.
If they aren’t, then they’re merely a promotional tactic.
Either way, l think that Saunders will face Canelo on Saturday night, and he won’t care less about the size of the ring.
I don’t think that Saunders could really give two shîtś about the size of the ring, that’s not his agenda.
He either wants to frustrate Canelo or promote the fight.

He certainly didn’t look concerned today - and he prepared for a fight a while back when his brother (I think) was kidnapped for ransom - so arguing over couple of feet certainly as you say won’t faze him at all.

Saunders has just confirmed the so-called “dispute” about the ring size has been resolved.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.mirr ... 039518.amp
The next “controversy” will either relate to Canelo’s choice of gloves or the sponginess of the ring canvas.
