The lack of transparency is baffling.
Boxing isn't really a rich man's sport. There are people who have made some sacrifices to buy their tickets, it might be the one night out of the month for them. And yet these bastards are still faffing about.

It’s mind boggling. Essentially they’re stating it’s still on
If they have made no announcement?

The story was about Khan vs brook being muted for February by boxxer and Ben shalom saying it’s the biggest fight outside the heavyweight division in the uk

As "wrong" as it is, I think Shalom is correct - Khan vs Brook is still the biggest non Heavyweight all British fight out there.
Lets not forget one of the biggest fights of all time was Mayweather vs a debutant.

I think with real hardcore boxing fans the moment is lost with Khan and brook like mayweather vs paquiao was dont get me wrong people will watch it including me , in regards to the mayweather vs mcgregor fight people were intrigued by it and a lot of MMA fans and boxing casuals thought mcgregor had a chance and were sucked into the theatre of it all with the press conference tours around the world etc how people are being sucked into exhibitions and celebrity boxing

Exactly - it is really poor at the moment for good world class true rivalaries, there were a few brewing in the pipeline that never happened (e.g. Benn vs Kelly, Frampton vs Warrington 2 etc). Its quite a poor time for UK boxing in terms of world class fighters.

A lot of the prospects are losing early.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. The longer they go unbeaten, the more they value that ‘0’.. and then continue fighting nobodies until a title shot comes and then get swiped out.

You’ve got josh Taylor vs jack catterall
Could have Callum smith vs Joshua buatsi
And I’d love to see Eubank jr vs bjs 2
But do agree there isn’t a lot of world class domestic fights outside hw

Smith vs Buatsi isn't a bad shout but still don't think it is as big as Khan vs Brook. Neither have the name appeal of Khan.
Taylor vs Catterall is a bit meh - again not even Taylor is a big name and most expect him to outclass Caterall.
Eubank vs BJS 2 will not happen.
All three are better fights than Brook vs Khan but not bigger fighters than Brook vs Khan.

Williamson vs Smith will be twice as entertaining as those past it, delicate money grabbing princesses Brook and Khan.

The fight is still listed on SkySports’ website as part of their upcoming schedule....
Should we be assuming that the fight is still on?

The Cardiff show’s been moved to the new date.
It appears like there won’t be any show now for Sky on December 11th.

The announcement says that Liam Williams has a shoulder injury that doesn't require surgery and therefore the show has been put back 7 weeks.

Billy Joe Saunders vs Eubank Jr 2 would be bigger imo

Blllu Joe Saunders vs Chris Eubank Jr 2
Callum Smith vs Joshua Buatsi
Chris Eubank Jr vs Liam Smith
Liam Williams vs Liam Smith 3
Conor Benn vs Josh Kelly
Josh Taylor vs Conor Benn
Josh Warrington vs Leigh Wood
Callum Johnson vs Joshua Buatsi
Joshua Buatsi vs Anthony Yarde
Chris Eubank Jr vs Felix Cash
All would be better than Brook vs Khan
(I know better is not the question)
But some of them would arguably be bigger than Brook vs Khan too. Considering they both are completely done and irrelevent now

I think given what we now know, we can give Boxxer (hate that name) a pass. They obviously needed to see if they could reschedule the whole card within weeks or if William's was out for say 6 months assess if they could either pull the main event (ala Whyte vs Wallin) or perhaps get Eubank an equivalent opponent for a "no refund ".
Needed to get quite a full diagnosis of the injury and a confirmation that the venue was good to go. Neither happen overnight.
It just felt more like a shit show cos of the social media asking boxers / boxing people their views

I’m glad it’s been rearranged as it’s a really good fight but I still don’t think it should over a week to get resolved as it now leaves a big whole in their December line up with no U.K. shows. Perhaps it shows the inexperience of Boxxer who have really only done the prizefighters before where if there was an injury they’d just a get a replacement sorted quickly.

I know what you are saying but given the size of the fight and its involving their number 1 fighter, it is acceptable. In the pre days were seemingly everyone is a journalists and pundits, boxers and serious fans are having their mic stuck to their face everyday, that's the problem. I'm sure in days gone by both matchroom and fw have rearrange shows....difference is we the fight fans might not have known when the injury took place. IMO there is NO WAY Mike Coppinger KNEW the extent of the injury 24 hours after the press conference. When exactly did Williams have the injury? It was an educated (and ultimately accurate) guess from Coppinger....Not even Williams knew the extent of the injury.
Then there was also the rescheduling, that doesnt happen overnight. It took several weeks of negotiating. Cant just automatically assume everyone will say yes, let alone the date side of things.
I would actually say well done to boxxer for getting it back running in a week. Yes they could have kept us in the loop, but plenty were anyway and with misinformation "fights off" was said far more than "fights postponed " on ifl. It must have been tricky to keep fans in the loop when they had results of scans to come through, egos to massage and dates to finalise.
IMO better to keep quiet than go....umm "Willians has an injury , dont know if the fight will be postponed or cancelled ". No doubt if Williams injury was more serious than it was then Eubank would have fought in December but possibly in a different venue
