Joe has a broken wrist. Won't be ready.

Good interview from FW above explains the situation. Frank speaks a lot of sense. Maybe it's because I'm old but I far prefer him to the Essex boy.

Watch the video.

Synopsis.

FW Says Fury will fight in March.

He will not defend the WBC then. Just lineal.

Opponent to be decided in the next few days.

Joe Joyce has a broken wrist and will be out until April or later.

Maybe so no to pay sanctioning fees or maybe because Whyte is mandated to be the next WBC heavyweight challenger i.e. no voluntary allowed? I don't know that, just my thoughts.

Frank suggests the plan to be:

March vs TBC (lineal)

June vs Whyte (lineal and WBC)

Late autumn vs Usyk/Joshua (all the marbles)

that would be a perfectly fine plan if it ended up like that

does any other champ get their lineal status thrown around as much btw?

This seems highly unlikely

I'm calling it right now but it's going to be number two ranked by the WBC Andy Ruiz and it's going to happen in Las Vegas :TU: I basically said it would be Ruiz within a week or so after the third Wilder fight, and I think if he fights a guy in the top three by the WBC he will still be able to hold on to his belt without any repercussions.

Jesus, this is dire. Just fight for fornicate sake. The Heavyweight division is crap enough as it is, without the best not fighting each other.

Come on everyone, just grow a pair and make it happen. So what if you are earning say 5 million less than multi million pounds you are earning

Fury won't fight 3x in 6/7 months .. if he fights in March, and wins , then he won't be back out until end of year.

If he does fight in March, then don't expect anyone even half decent to be facing him.
We have seen the best of Fury - he is all about his celebrity now; wearing his sunglasses indoors says it all .. he is gonna come crashing down spectacularly next year.

I think Tyson is in the home straight now. He will do whatever he wants. He's won over the public. As if he's going to box Whyte with Eddie about.

The blame is entirely on Whyte's shoulders because of this stupid arbitration. He refuses to let the lawsuit go. He wants to have his cake and eat it too, dragging things out well into summer or longer because deliberations for the arbitration don't begin until March.

Not tuned in to all the videos yet - but FGS Whyte has been ordered by the WBC yet it seems like the combination of Eddie / Frank and Bob can't even get this one together. Like the Fury vs Joshua debacle negotiating, negotiating, negotiating for every last penny and every little I dotted and t crossed being absolutely perfect. If they would have just got on with it - it would have happened BEFORE the Wilder arbitration decision.

Now its the same for this.

And to think we complained that Lennox Lewis waited less than 2 years from WBC champion to fighting Evander Holyfield (and in that period Holyfield made sure the IBF title was on the line also!).

For all his criticisms (and there were a shit load naturally) Don King got the fights DONE compared to this shower. He even got the non rematched claused rematch between Holyfield and Lewis signed, sealed and delivered within 6 months of the first fight(well King, Maloney and others). .

Really had enough now.

I blame the WBC for this mess, they could've ordered the Whyte fight 2 years ago but dithered, I'm no Whyte fan but he probably feels theres a good chance the arbitrator will get him 45% and there a even greater chance that without an arbitration the WBC will give him 20%, he's waiting it out, fck the ABCs

While we're at it with the WBC, how come they've never stripped Russell Jr??

We Be Crooks indeed

Yeah. It’s 100% the WBC’s fault. Why do they need to wait until March to get it resolved. It’s not like this has only just decided. They’ve known that Whyte will be/is mandatory since his fight with Wallin was cancelled. They’ve made a real mess out of this.

Why wouldn’t he? Having Eddie about means Tyson could be getting a record payday through crazy purse bids or by forcing Top Rank/FW to overpay.

Maybe they've done it on purpose?
He goes on about being mandatory for years. I think he's forgotten he got knocked out!

They probably have done it on purpose. Whether it’s on purpose or not they’re the ones that created the mess and they’re doing a crap job of sorting it out.

They’ve wasted a month of team fury’s time (and team Whyte’s) by ordering negotiations without purse splits.

Glad Whyte is getting fucked over after what he did to Wallin.
The arrogance of Hearn to think that getting a 40% split from Fury was… and still is ridiculous.
Reckon we will see Parker v Whyte II in the summer for the vacant at a half-sold O2.

To be fair to Warren on THIS occasion,Eddie has been running his mouth plenty about Whyte vs Fury being early in the new year. Getting really fed up of being sold another porky when it comes to the heavyweights.
