I successfully predicted that Tyson Fury would be lighter for the Dillian Whyte bout than his previous outing against Deontay Wilder (my guess for Tyson’s official weight only missed the mark by 5¼ lbs).

My pre-fight assertion about Fury’s ability to make Whyte’s boxing skills appear primitive by comparison to his own, also came true.

I also claimed that Fury would make his win over Whyte look easy if he was in better shape and displayed superior skills than he did for the third Wilder bout, which of course came to fruition.

That said, I was shocked about the following things:

• Dillian Whyte’s futile attempt to compete as a southpaw during the first round
• Dillian Whyte’s attempts to outbox a master boxer
• How quickly Dillian Whyte unravelled against Fury
• Tyson Fury’s one-punch KO

I hate to say this, since Dillian Whyte is one of my favourite fighters, but he’s 34 years of age, has only won one fight within the last 2½ years and appears to be past-his-prime.

He’s a had lot of tough back-to-back fights against top-ten world-rated fighters and appears to be a shop-worn spent force.

I hope he receives a $5m pay-out from his arbitration against the WBC and then hangs up his gloves for good.

That sounds fair considering I could think of a handful of fighters that I actually would have paid to watch. Whyte wasn't one of them.
