Is it right that a fighter can just throw and cling over and over and over?
Good luck to Okolie. I think he has the advantages of all the other cruisers. Hope he unifies. But he will need to be carefully matched at Heavy because his style won't work there.
He's like a guy who worked out a special move on a video game to always win. But he's not had to master other aspects of his game. At Heavyweight it won't work.

i remember one of the early mortal kombat games, there was one dude who you could spam the same long range move repeatedly. i think it was jaxx smashing the ground to knock the other guy down. any arsehole who got him could ruin the game and continually get flawless victories

Who would he trouble at HW ? I mean is it absolutely nailed on that he’d beat those lads who fought for the Scottish HW title ?

Agreed. I think his rush is that he can’t be arsed struggling to make the weight anymore at cruiser.
If he wants big money he can have an eliminator with Briedis for the right to face Jake Paul

I saw it, mainly to get a glimpse of Minogue in that outfit. Poor old green nasty was tortured into greenness through brutal imagery.

Just watched Guerfi v Gill without knowing the result, absolutely unbelievable! Gill was in all sorts and taking a lot of punishment, thought Guerfi's offence looked sharp all night but what a shot to turn it around, incredible. Tremendous heart from Gill, he had taken a lot of clean punches after being dropped and can't imagine he was going to last much longer pinned in the corner like that.
Yafai is a real talent, probably took a few too many hooks for McCracken's liking due to a disregard for Bautista's power but he was comfortable regardless, Bautista a tough tough fighter with zero quit in him. Interested to see Galal's next steps in the pro game.

I actually thought Gill mostly did a great job of looking after himself when he was on the ropes. His body movement was good, he was slipping enough shots that Guerfi went back to centre ring to bring him out of that shell, and he was looking to time that right hand, third time was a charm with that shit having landed decently with it twice already, so not really a lucky punch.

Bear the end of the round before the stoppage, he landed a couple of well timed shots what started giving him belief, which I think was instrumental. I think Guerfi was trying to get him out his shell as you said, but that stopped him bringing his hands back to his chin on some of the combos.

Only if he is the home fighter with a British referee.
I don't know why Alexander warned him at the start of the 12th after he'd been doing it all night and he had no intention of taking a point off.

Okolie is a bad watch.
He needs to give himself more distance and use his jab to set up his shots.
Doesn't seem to have much variation on his shots and his inside game is non existent.
Imagine him against Fury? 6ft 9 inches of inside fightingness. He'd be taken apart
