I never bought into the hype surrounding Conlan. I'd say he ended up on the fringes of world class.

A very decent boxer and game, but not sturdy enough for world class competition. Unless he still manages to come good, I'd have to classify Conlan as an "also ran".

When he first turned over there was a lot of hype about Conlan , personaly he was one i thought at the time was a waste of time watching , he had talent but it was obvious they were cherry picking opponents , stiffs he would of nailed when he was ameteur were brought out , suppose its shown now , shame he's got heart and did / does have talent , think just like Hattons son they have seen things in the gym that don't inspire confidence , Throw Benn in that mix has well ,

he hasnt been a waste of time watching at all. he's been in good fights and some great fights - the bout vs wood was 2022 world fight of the year for ring magazine, espn, and many others. he has been a solid euro level fighter. doheny, baluta, cunningham, guerfi, etc all had good results after he beat them. if he's a waste of time watching let's just get rid of all boxing below elite world level, and take a big ol sh!t on any fighter who cant cut it there or cant give us at least 2 global fights of the year

I thought he peaked in the amateurs. 2015 he was very good. I think he boxed before that for Italia Thunder and was very impressive also. A great amateur.
