Apparently there are reports now that this had 33 Million viewers on Netflix. Pretty astonishing. Definitely a boost to the marketability of a potential Joshua vs Fury bout.
Canelo vs Crawford did 41 million, even though Paul vs AJ was booked only 3 weeks in advance. Crazy to think about.
Now people talk about Paul vs Ngannou. Hate all you want, his marketing is great and the haters contribute to his success.
Feels like with Mayweather, where the haters watched him just so they could see him lose.

Yeah, definitely didn't happen.
He is just building up his next fight and his fans and his haters gonna watch it.

I mean, his haters wanted to see him get KO'd. They saw it. Don't really know why you'd have to see him again, if what you were wanting to see him was a KO loss for him.

People still gonna watch him, haters included.
Jake didn’t get starched by a random dude, he got stopped by a real heavyweight and broke his jaw.
That doesn’t kill interest, it proves there was real risk (no matter what some delusional people say). Losses don’t end careers, being irrelevant does.
Jakes whole draw is that people want to see him win or get his as* kicked. That hasn’t changed.
If anything, the stoppage creates a new narrative, which is why people are already talking about Ngannou.

Like I say. I don't mind if he continues Boxing I just hope he goes about from this point in a sincere manner, and quits with the novelty fights.
For his level, I honestly wouldn't consider a bout with Ngannou to be a novelty bout. It actually would make sense. So I could see an interest in that one as a legit matchup.

He should fight Ngannou next and Francis can then break the remaining jawbones that Joshua didn't manage to break.

What can he possibly do with Ngannou? He hit Joshua flush with one good punch and Joshua didn't even blink. He's way too small for Ngannou, he'd be crushed.

I agree with you, but at least the matchup would make sense on paper, and a lot of people would probably think Jake could win it.
I personally wouldn't.
If there's still a market for Jake Paul in Boxing, and if he still wants to do it more power to him. It wouldn't hurt my feelings, but I'd prefer it if he actually gave it a serious go as a Cruiserweight prospect if he's gonna keep doing this. Ultimately though I don't give a sh*t what he does. The sport doesn't revolve around him.

This I agree with. As a boxer, he's not particularly entertaining to watch. If he does give it a go against a CW contender it's an interesting experiment. Is it possible for someone with no boxing background to reach world class level with 5 years of training? I think I know the answer.

Yeah I can't imagine he could ever legitimately crack the Cruiserweight Top 10, maybe though. Hell Badou Jack was a recent World Champion there so it doesn't seem especially deep in that weight class.

I just skimmed through the rankings and he's actually ranked #15 by the WBA. Could he beat someone like Egorov to crack the top 10? If he did and got a title shot Ramirez would kick his ass in a big way I suspect.

Ramirez and Opetaia would both destroy him.
The only realistic chance he has is against Mikaeljan for the WBC title, and even then the timing would have to be perfect.
The best case scenario for Jake would be to return to the ring in about a year and line up a fight with Mikaeljan while hoping he doesn’t risk the title in the meantime. After a long layoff of around 18 months and with Mikaeljan aging a bit, Jake might have a chance.
If the WBC wants Jake Paul in the rankings, they’ll make it happen. Their international title is vacant, too. They could let Jake Paul fight for it against some random dude and make him Top 10/15 easily.

Did they really get 92 million apiece for this?
Of course there are going to be fees and payments and taxes and payoffs and all but still, that’s extraordinary.
Good for them both.
I read between 40-50 million each. Crazy money.
And people wonder why they both took the fight.

Former World Champion beats up a comedian. What next?
The comedian against you. I don't think you make it out of round 1
Seeing I am in my late seventies that would prove nothing.

He is ~90 kg, athletic, trains full-time and has real pro-fight experience under pressure.
He would beat 99% of the people. Some of you guys are delusional.

I just have basic respect towards those who respect the sport, train hard and have the guts to go in there and fight.
That respect is something that some of you guys lack.

He's a drug cheat using his money and fame to make a mockery of the sport. There is a level of respect for getting in the ring but it only goes a certain way as there's equal or more amounts of disrespect to the sport coming out of his mouth and by the matchups he arranges.

I don't remember him failing a drug test. You can prove me wrong though.
And the last part is obviously an emotional statement, probaly based on the type of opponents he choose?
I see nothing wrong here.
