If Israel was really going to take on someone their own size (doubtful to begin with) why couldn't the United States have kept American soldiers safer than by going in Iran and attacking Iran?

Remember Kier Starmer when he said there would be British boots on the ground in Ukraine?
He found out within days, that the British soldiers weren't that keen on his war plans and he pulled his neck in and never mentioned it again
It still didn't stem the flow of guys getting out. One look on social media at how helpless front line infantry are in an AI drone war was enough to get a swathe to leave the forces.
And of course the most unpopular prime minister on recent history has no chance of getting the British people behind anything that brings their sons home in boxs

They were certainly involved.
The Taliban were an ofshoot of the mujahadeen, who were armed and funded by the CIA to fight off the Russians - of course, when the fighting was done, the US backed out of all of their promises to help with money to aid the development within Afghanistan.

I find it so odd, I mean imagine worshipping Starmer, or Corbyn or Blair - I just cannot get my head around worshipping anybody - I mean we all have our heroes of sorts, Ali, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, three I can think of off the top of my head, I got to Saw Stevie live a couple of times which was amazing, and I was probably a little enraptured, but if it transpired he was a paedophile, I'd soon cool on him, rather than making a million excuses and performing mental backflips and contortions and whatabbouterys, I'd be like "Still like his music, but fornicate him, he's a pudendum."

Not sure what anyone expected when they changed the Department of Defense to the Department of War and put a drunk Fox News personality in as defense (I mean “war”) Secretary.
