Can someone give me credible answers and evidence to these 2 points.

Katie Taylor changed boxing. How and when?

Katie Taylor changed people's lives forever. How and when?
The first one you could start with Taylor being the highest profile amateur fighter in her time, and the one who was pushing hardest to get it into the Olympics, without her that may not have happened nearly as soon as it did (if at all).
The Olympic profile was very important for building many female pro fighters careers after.

When she turned pro, Matchroom/Sky gave her far more media attention than any female boxer in Ireland/UK had ever gotten by a considerable distance.
There's no question this would have helped inspire young female boxers, and also Taylor was earning better purses than the vast majority of female fighters had.

That also helped break a glass ceiling for the concept of paying female fighters decent purses.

Now maybe some here would feel better if it wasn't this way, but without her we wouldn't be seeing nearly as much professional female boxing on TV as we do, and that quantity of coverage and money is bringing the standard of female boxing up all the time.
For example Shannen Courtenay wouldn't have a hope of winning a World title now, but waltzed into one just a few short years ago.
As another reply, fair enough

Most of that has nothing to do with Taylor but has more to do with her promoters and marketing team. As well as just being in the right place at the right time with the media seeking to push certain agendas including female empowerment. And I don’t believe for a minute she pretended to be a boy to get fights. No way would the amateur coaches and the local community not know she’s a girl - the boxing club she trained would be severely sanctioned for letting a girl fight a boy. No way would they risk their status like that.

Skipped through the event this morning. Some spectacle, but a crappy card

Highly unlikely. Someone just makes it up and Ruthless reposts it on a forum for hardcore fans to laugh it.

You reckon she got more close to 200k? Or even less than that? I mean it was unification/undisputed, and she’d probably want decent money being Taylor’s last fight.

I really don't know but I'd be surprised if it's anywhere near that.

It’s exactly as Mickey says, “reported” purses for fighters are just made up. I listen to a few podcasts and even well respected boxing “insiders”, the likes of Chris Mannix, Dan Rafael, Matt Christie etc, don’t know the purses for any given fight.
