Tyson Fury says he will ‘never’ return to boxing: ‘I’m too old and grey’
Tyson Fury has seemingly made another U-turn on his retirement plans.
The former heavyweight champion called a day on his career back in December after his second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk. Many expected Fury to return, as he so often does after announcing his retirement, and earlier this month he announced his desire to do just that.
In typical Tyson Fury fashion he told BS and other reporters in Istanbul, Turkey, that he would only return for a third crack at Usyk, believing he had been robbed of the decision in both of their previous contests. Then, just two hours later, Fury changed his mind and announced he had had multiple lucrative offers and was considering dusting off the gloves for a showdown with his domestic rival Anthony Joshua.
It seemed only a matter of time before we saw an official announcement for a return, with Turki Alalshikh stating he wanted both Fury and Joshua to have interim fights before facing each other next year. Fury too recently announced that a comeback was on ice until 2026, but, again, it now seems as though he has changed his mind.
Fury was appearing at Doncaster Racecourse to watch one of his race horses named Big Gypsy King in action and was asked by Sky Sports when we would likely see him back in the ring.
“Never,” he replied. "Too old, look at my beard, all grey. Boxing is a young man's game."

Fury looks a lot older than 37; he looks mid 40s to me.
Also, it's laughable him saying boxing is a young man's game, when the actual HW champion of the world is older than him.
Also, a lot of the p4p best fighters are well over 30 these days.

EXCLUSIVE: Krassyuk open to helping Fury vs Joshua over the line
Oleksandr Usyk’s former long-time promoter, Alexander Krassyuk, has told World Boxing News he would be willing to assist Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua in securing a long-awaited showdown with Tyson Fury.
Krassyuk extended his arm out after WBN asked Usyk’s ex-right-hand man if he could be of any service to Fury vs Joshua.
The K2 Promotions figurehead worked with Usyk, Hearn, and allegedly, making four super-events involving the two British two-time heavyweight champions.
If he can play some part in pushing Joshua and Fury together for the showdown UK boxing craves, Krassyuk is more than willing to take the call.
Krassyuk Ready to Help Fury vs Joshua
Speaking to WBN, Krassyuk praised Joshua’s promotional team while making it clear he holds no barriers to working within the United Kingdom.
“AJ has the best promoter behind him (Eddie Hearn),” Krassyuk exclusively told World Boxing News. “I treat them both like brothers, and if I can be helpful, I will always be willing.”
The heavyweight powerbroker also weighed in on the possibility of Fury vs Joshua finally taking place, a fight fans have demanded for years but which has continually failed to materialize.
“I hope so,” he said. “This fight still remains one of the most anticipated bouts in boxing. After Usyk retires, Fury vs AJ will become the most wanted. As a boxing fan, I would love to see this clash. I have them both 50/50.”

Tyson looks pretty happy as he is at the minute. You'd have thought AJ would be desperate to get Dubois back in the ring.

Maybe he'd like to see him knocked out a few more times just to be safe

No doubt they are desperate to mask or cover up his fragile little mind - Daniel Dubois humiliated him at Wembley Stadium via KO.

If he did write it himself, it’s clearly a deliberate wind-up. The “dancing around his jab with ease” line is the giveaway, definitely not AJ’s usual style in or out of the ring

It’s a fight well past its sell by date but I’d watch it and would be happy if AJ won. Would be an excellent way to go out. Eddie talking about AJs comeback fight being against a top 15 person but not top 5, probably wise. Wonder who it will be? Any thoughts or insight here?

Tyson-Lewis was years past its sell-by, but still a huge fight at the time. Lewis only took it to 'add' Tyson's name to his record. was the only name missing other than Bowe.
Khan-Brook was past as well, but majority was still interested just to see them close off their careers against each other.

I didn’t realise at the time Tyson was shot!
I was 10 at the time. Still thought Tyson was unstoppable. Didn't know what 'being shot' even meant.

Eddie Cotton was the referee and he was appalling.

Every big fight of the last 20 or so years has been past it's sell by date. Big name fighters meeting in their primes is a thing of the past.
