the wins in his 2nd and 3rd attempts vs wilder were good for sure, but he needs to beat aj-usyk 2 winner to be the undisputed man

winner of that would be a bigger win then wilder

beat whyte, then beat aj-usyk 2 winner, then retire........

I think we will get some clarity on what Fury really is in this fight.
Maybe he is everything as great as some state after beating Wilder 3x .. or maybe Wilder was really as bad as others say and beating him really distorted Fury's worth.

I personally struggle to look past how bad Fury's basic technique is and his slob physique .. although maybe I'm missing something and he will beat Whyte easier than AJ and more devastating than Povetkin did .. if he is as good as some here say, then that's what we'll see on Saturday.

However, I think on Sunday morning most of us will be saying the fight was a stinker, and that the Wilder wins severely overrated Fury. I am not bothered who wins on Saturday .. all I want is for it to be a good fight.

I think you miss an awful lot, Tony. Every world class boxer he has sparred say he's very, very good. It's a bit like Joe Joyce. According to some of you, he's too slow to ever win a fight... he's an undefeated Olympic medallist...

ya he is good, he's the 4th best heavy in the world

he's also dear to the hearts of fury fans around the world. fury-wilder 4 is the dream fight.

Do you think Whyte would have won an Olympic medal? I wouldn't have him winning the ABA's.
I don’t think that’s hugely relevant, given that their respective amateur careers are a very long time ago now. I just think fighters do reach their expiry date, and Fury is likely approaching his.
maybe thats why he is retiring - perhaps he knows its time to quit whilst unbeaten .
If he remains unbeaten that is .
Still would want to see him fight aj and usyk to be able to remove all doubts about who the best HW really is .
Sorry for all you Fury fans but I cant ever accept wilder as any kind of benchmark as his resume is piss poor so for me the jury is out on Tyson Fury until he fights the other top HW `s .
The other top hws!? Klitschko not count then. He's the lineal champion for a reason!!

Yeah really good assessment and matches my thoughts verbatim. Bit weird but he still carries a stigma as to his true boxing worth. Really hope he's the real deal but not fully decided in my head that he actually is.

Fury comes in light. Doesn't look good for a slugfest

Wouldn't be the biggest shock if Whyte cleaned Fury's clock , he's a live dog but my safe bet is Whyte boxes a plodding frustrating fight, whilst Fury breaks him down round after round before stopping Whyte in about 10

Fury is the A side. He came in light while the ring will be huge. The game plan will be to box and move, smother if it gets too close. White has poor footwork but great timing, and is more dangerous going backwards and countering than going forward. Hence why I think Fury has opted for this weight and gameplan, and not a repeat of Wilder 2/3, where Wilder couldn't fight going backwards while the ring was kept small with Wilder as the A for the first 2 fights.

I hope not!
For the sake of those shelling out to go to, or watch, what is a one fight card.
I don't think Whyte will relent, and is fairly good at cutting the ring off.
But yes, Fury is capable of stinking the joint out for sure.

Surprised at this from Del Boy-

“I’m willing to put my house on it, I’m willing to put my house on Dillian Whyte knocking Tyson Fury out.

“Look at your faces in the studio! Tyson is my mate and I know he’s listening – Tyson, you’re going to get knocked out.

“That’s the only way he [Whyte] can win the fight.”

Think Fury stops him between rounds 7-9. Also think Ball is a cracking bet at better than evens to beat Isaac Lowe.

Travelling down for this and trying to stay off the drink. That’s sadly a 66/1 shot.

Surprised so many people are picking Fury to get the stoppage. I don't see that happening at all. I suspect Fury will keep this at distance and it will be anything but a comfortable night for him with Whyte swashbuckling forward.

I hope Fury wins but I'm going for Whyte by knockout. Fury has Klitschko and Wilder, but one wouldn't fight and the other couldn't fight. I see Whyte chopping a gung-ho Fury down with a well-timed big left hook.

As others have said, we'll know a lot more about the Gypsy King after this fight.
