The vast, and I mean vast majority come here and want to work, and are very grateful for the help they receive. I for one am proud I live in a country which is willing to help.

Exactly. Immigrants don't come to sit around, they come to work. They come from often crappy jobs in their country, and they know they can earn ten times as much by working the same crappy job in Britain, or wherever.

My Mam's a cleaner, where there are lots of Poles, and she says that they DO work hard and takes the attitude "more power to 'em".

It's natural for people to fear for their jobs, but, really, what are people afraid of?
