Taylor looks as big, if not bigger than Froch in the press conference.... I think Taylor should win, but he has a habit of blowing it.

I really can't understand why so many people are picking Taylor.

I'm surprised anyone is saying they don't think Taylor will be able to take Carl's power. He stood up to some big shots from Pavlik in their second fight and I believe Pavlik is a much harder puncher than Froch. It was a massive shot that put Taylor on queer street in their first fight .

Taylor also took some pretty good right hands from Hopkins in their two fights.

Despite assertions to the contrary, it should be quickly apparent in round one that Froch is bigger than Taylor. Look again at the Tale of the Tape: Taylor has a super middleweight's body perched on a middleweight's spindly legs.
has anyone provided a link to the t of the t?

Its the biggest test yet for Froch, far bigger than when he fought and beat Pascal. Taylor is genuine World class and has World class power so this is going to be a tough one for Carl, never mind all the talk. I honestly do believe both men have the power to KO each other. Froch will get hit several times with his left held low and the accumulation of shots may result in his visiting the canvas for the first time. Froch I think has to stop Taylor who I believe is more likely to win if it goes the distance. Froch must defend better than he did against Pascal or play right into Taylors gameplan. Taylor knows only too well Froch is an open target and if you cut into a tree, bit by bit, it will eventually fall. I want Carl to win and if he does its a great name to have on his record but it isnt going to be easy.

I don't see Taylor as being a massive puncher so I think Froch can take that part of the deal. If Taylor in some sort of prime shape physically and mentally turns up then it will be very tough for Carl to win, but I don't think he is in his prime anymore so it's a pick'em fight. I pick Froch as the hungrier, less mileage and slightly more powerful fighter. I think if Pavlik can do it then Froch can.

I dont know about you guys, but i think this is a great chance by team froch to have a war in the states and have them wanting more.

the way i see it, is that taylor will get through often with his skill and carls hands - down style.

But he will NEVER put him down, thus tiring himself out and imploding pavlik style in the later rounds as frochs power dismantles him.

All in all the american public will see a classic war - leave them hungry for more and establishing froch as an exciting fighter.

Froch KO 12

Froch KO 12
yeah that's pretty much the way i am leaning having sat on the fence so far

bizarrely i think Froch's face-first defence might work to his favour. no, i mean, hear me out cos i know that sounds stupid- i just think it'll make him so available that Taylor will be out of the proverbial shell letting his hands go.

If Taylor boxes cautiously he wins but i think Froch's hittability will get him involved in a proper fight which Froch wins, stamina and chin being superior being the deciding factors

You blokes are going to be a proud lot after Froch blows Taylor away.

I don't see this fight as being all that close.

Can Froch take Taylor's power? Is this serious?

Can Taylor take Froch's power? Nope. And he's not defensively sound enough to avoid the punches either.

Froch KO6

Just a better, more natural fighter.

Exactly, not since Eduaord has Taylor really impressed me with his power....Froch will eat them all night, no problem.

Problem is if he eats too many and gets overwhelmed but I can't see that happening.

aye, I think he'll do it the hard way. Reckon he'll win, but make it hard for himself and for Taylor. As he doesn't have a very efficient style. He can box really nicely when he calms down, as when he was backing Pascal up with jabs and body shots.

Will be good for UK boxing if Froch wins. A fighter who wants to genuinely test himself.

If Taylor goes 12 with Pavlik, he can do the same with Froch

Interesting stats, wouldn't want to make too many assumptions but those stats do reflect Taylor is blown up to super middle. Bigger biceps and chest from weight training, but markedly skinnier legs. It's more weight to be carry and on a weaker area, would expect him to tire late on, may have to lean to an early Taylor points lead but a late Carl stoppage.

I guess it depends which Taylor turns up. The taylor that beat Hopkins or the Taylor that has looked lacklustre largely since then. I just think Taylor doesn't have the passion. He has said many times I fight to make money and that is it. Of all the ways to make money he picked an incredibly painful one!

For me, Taylor simply can't KO Froch (or at least it is highly unlikely). Trying to remember the last time he actually stopped someone! He could box the socks off him however if he is really up for it and can handle Froch's power. Froch is open but often it is to invite a big punch so he can land his very effective uppercut. Not many fighters use the uppercut as much as Froch and if he lands that I can see Taylor taking notice. Froch also has good body shots and has a couple of ko's from that. I have seen Froch fight with a guard but I think he is somewhat like Haye in that he knows he carries a lot of power for the weight so he tries to invite people in so he can land. Given his amazing chin I can understand it. Whether this style/tactic can work at this level well I guess we are about to find out!

I have watched a lot of Froch's fights and I am a fan so I really hope he wins. I say a late stoppage for him.

There have been some odd predictions from the media on this one. I just watched the preview on YT and Duke Mckenzie said quote - "Taylor is not the quickest guy in the world and he makes a lot more mistakes than Froch." Now not saying Taylor is legend but if he's anything he's at least quick, and I don't see him being any sloppier than Froch has been on occasion.

Taylor will notice a big difference in this fight. Froch is no light middle, he's a big strong super middle who's bringing the heat.
