Manny Pacquiao- Nedal Hussien (TKO 10), Serikzhan Yeshmagambetov (TKO 5), and Marco Antiono Barrera (TKO 11)
Honorable mention to JMM who came off the canvas three times in his first bout with Pacquiao to earn a draw (some thought he won) and of course the second bout which most thought he did enough to claim victory.

im wanting to know who are classed as good champions, maybe even all time greats, but, they never proved themselves with the biggest challenge of all, to get clocked, to recover, and to come back to win, its a massive quality, and one that lennox could not show.

my favorite was jimmy cable against said skouma,european title, cable was down 2/3 times in the 8th[off the top of my head].lennie lake ,his trainer can be heard shouting" get up you lazy c?nt" ! it did the trick as jimmy stopped him in the 9th. what a great fight and what a tough guy jimmy was

Duran was down against De Jesus in their first two fights (at exactly the same time in the opening round) and came back to lose the first on points and win the second by knockout. He brutalized De Jesus in a third meeting.
Hearns was the only only other man to drop Duran in five decades as a pro when Duran allowed himself to get knocked out to erase the 'quitter' stigma he had acquired in poverty-stricken Panama after Leonard II.

I know you are a pretty big Duran fan Bennie but 'allowed himself to get knocked out'!? I think you are doing Hearns a disservice by claiming that Duran let him ko him. Does Duran actually claim to have done this?

It sounds outlandish, Terry, but it is a theory I heard from several reliable services in 1984 after the event happened. Duran was paid seven million dollars for quitting against Leonard (that would be worth 20 million today, if not more) and barrio Panamanians (Duran's own) detested his actions and accused him of avoiding a pending knockout defeat.
The word was Duran HAD to go out on his shield like a true warrior to ever regain their respect. Going 15 rounds with Hagler proved he could lose like a man - but not like a warrior - because mechanical Marvin failed to pressure him effectively. Duran, of course, picked up another gigantic payday for Hagler and decided to take one more payday and retire. He took the Hearns payday simply as a payday and fought like a reckless amateur (and Duran was NEVER reckless, before or after). He fought like a man just waiting to get chinned.
Then he retired in June 1984 (for real) and ballooned to about 20 stone, singing with his Salsa band, only to find his money running out by 1986 (courtesy of his wife), which forced him back.

Don Curry is a good one, Stu. I seem to recall he was hurt by Mike Senegal and Eduardo Rodriguez, and he went 15 rounds with a rugged Korean with a badly busted right hand, but there is nothing else to suggest he was a great come-from-behind fighter.
One of the best, surely (and I'm sorry if he has already been mentioned) is Matthew Saad Muhammad.
