Hatton wasn't off his game tonight. Pacquiao even said in his post-fight that Hatton hit him hard a number of times.

Just got caught and hurt by the faster, sharper man. It's easy to say that he should have worked a different game plan and boxed a little more, but that would have delayed the inevitable.

Pacquiao is awesome. That's all I can take from this.

Hatton was exposed as a fghter who does not belong in elite company.

HE DOES NOT BELONG..

I'm not a big Hatton fan, but I'll give him his due: in his prime (IMO prior to the Kostya fight) he was a very good pressure fighter. The problem is, fighters like that don't tend to have long shelf lifes and Hatton's refusal to live the life of a pro athlete made things even harder for him.

I still think Manny and (definitely) Mayweather would've always had too much for him. But you can't honestly expect to have Hatton's lifestyle and be able to compete with the true elite.

I did say that you obviously only managed to read the first line. Fck getting into handbags over it leave that to others, I am just pointing out the way things are done after fights.

I just mean in Britain we have Sky TV...so you have to subscribe to this in order to buy the Hatton fights on Box Office for the 15 00 you mention.

But the quality of the normal output has been a talking point for well over a year now cos there's been countless mismatches.

Were it not for that, I'd be inclined to agree with you.

My goodness, I've never seen anyone so comprehensively outclassed in a boxing ring. I feel sorry for Ricky...

On the other hand, I take my hat off to Manny Pacquiao. He IS the best fighter in the world, no question.

welcome to Boxrec Kammy

I didn't see the shot properly cos of the stream dragging but it looked a bad one. I hope Rick's OK, the signs hopefully suggest he isn't badly hurt.

Why did Buffer announce that as a TKO.......it was , as you say, a KO to my knowledge.
did you see him count to ten? the ref waved it off, tko
like I say I hardly saw anything the stream was too sticky.

So if you are kayoed enough to not make it up inside ten, that's a Knockout?....but if you're Knocked out so bad the ref waves it off before finishing the count, that's not a Knock out , but a TECHNICAL knockout??
I didn't know this.....I always thought KO was the most emphatic way you could lose.

If a fighter is counted out then it goes down as a KO.
If the referee waves off the fight (doesn't matter if the boxer is on the floor or standing, or can beat the count or not) then it goes down as a TKO.

In Japan, and some other countries, the results aren't always recorded this way. You might like to see this topic: http://forum.boxrec.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=99450

If ever the phrase when hell freezes over was apt...right now , after tonight, is that time!

I would personally like to see a Hatton Khan fight in Britain...but for what? and would it be big enough to tempt Ricky? I doubt it.

damn right Metropol that's more like what I should have said actually.

I have about 25 boxing books in my home, a couple hundred boxing news's over about 7 years and I've attended approximately 60 shows both amateur and pro......and I didn't pay 15 quid for this either....and you saying I'm not a fan?? :o
