You're right, Johnson was on the Hull bill the fight before Graham - that's why i got confused.

In my time as a boxing fan, it has to be Holyfield-Tyson 1. It was supposed to be a huge mismatch, with Holyfield there in name only, and there were genuine concerns for his health.

Foreman-Moorer was also a huge one and certainly a more historical win, but I remember being more surprised at Holyfield-Tyson. Foreman always had a puncher's chance, especially against a somewhat chinny champion, while I could not think of any conceivable way Holyfield could beat Tyson at that time.

I don't have the issue to hand, but I remember it clearly. Bingham was being lauded as Britain's best P4P puncher and the argument was that he'd surely land his left hook - the 'Bingo' punch - at some point in the 12 rounds, and when he did, it would be over.

For some strange reason, it reminds me of an episode of Fantasy Football, when David and Frank were discussing the Christmas Presents they'd got eachother. One had got the other a monstrously crappy vid called "Gary Lineker and Willie Thorne: The Best of Friends”. Actually, I think it was. Bingham wason a good run and Winky was not yet the finished article, but I did at the time think it was a mismatch. Then I read the BN preview and thought "Hang on, he might have a chance after all!". But it was not to be, and Bingham was more outclassed than I had imagined he would be. At least he lasted the 12, though, unlike Foster and Dodson, the latter of which got badly smashed up.

Hopkins would have KO'd Joe the same way Pac did Hatton if it was Prime v Prime. At 43, obviously i agree, he has not got the Stamina, but Talent? Come on dude, you could take away 90% of Hopkins talent, and the guy has sheds load more than Joe ever did. Not to mentio many had Hopkins winning that bout anyway.

I agree, although stil good, Hopkins is passed it, and his bout with Pavlik was something else
