You lost a fight 59-57, if you has lost 60-54 then I would say you need to sort something out.

Do him in the rematch then move on!

Ruchard Williams lost very early on his career and went oo to do some good things, James Cook etc know a loss is nothing, it's what you take from it that counts.

Ok, at the risk of being a total twat, who is warmachine? What is his real name. Sorry, been so busy with work and stuff that I have not being paying attention to the domestic scene and just cherry picking the big fights when watching or chatting

actually the comaprisons of Larry and Hopkins on here ring truer than you think, both turned their lives around, and if you can show the same resiliance in the ring then you'll have the success you want.

if this is something you want enough, don't get put off by a bad night, sounds like you didn't get the best preparation.
You may get some good opportunities come your way on the strength of this perceived weakness (losing the O)..and then you can capitalise. As people say though you are learning still which requires a bit of time.

Tyson Fury was right. It's embarassing you got beat by a geezer like Peret. He's god awful and if you cant put guys like him out, then you aint got any chance of earning a good crust in the sport.

Use it as you're inspiration or whatever but having two fights against Peret, especially with a loss is not good.

At this point in time Larry is certainly not good enough to mix in better class, but he is still a relative novice which is why he needs to get back in the gym and keep learning.
Because he has had this setback it would be very weak willed to quit now, he needs to give himself a chance and see what he can achieve when he has improved further.
I don't think anyone thought he was world championship material, but boxing would not exist if only those sorts competed. Boxing is all about levels and he needs to find what level he can achieve. Only fools go through life thinking 'What If?'
There is certainly some sort of living to be earned at all levels of boxing if you are busy enough

Ah come on, there have been better fighters than Larry lose to worse fighters than Peret, and it was hardly as though he took the mother of all beatings. Sure, it'll hurt for a while, but I get the impression that he has plenty left to offer - though going full time would be the best way to bring that out.

And sorry for the late reply, because I have moved house, the internet connection still hasnt been set up (bloody talk talk) so I have to go to my mums to use the net and havn't been able to do that till today. I will not be quitting as I have ben through worse in my life and come through the other side. I had been feeling really down until I read the mostly positive responses from u guys, also from some good boxers who could go all the way in ashley sexton and tony bellew. You lot really dont know how much I appreciate the support, it really means alot to me and although I have things tough now, I know it will all come good as long as I stick to it. I know I can do big things in this sport otherwise I wouldnt have bothered as it is one of the toughest sports out there. I have been told that i will have 2 or 3 fights b4 getting peret again and that i will be on the 26th june so i have something to work towards. Please continue to support me guys as I will give my all in the ring each and every time.
