Dawson may not have been at his best. I mean, he was made to have this pointless rematch in which only Tarver had something to gain.

The guy has beaten Harding, Adamek, Johnson, and Tarver twice and that's a nice resume. I think he needs to be in a really good fight and impress ppl that way.

I just think he needs a "Lacy" as Calzaghe was fortunate to have, much later in his career. Luckily his mandatory appears to be the powerful and exciting Tavoris Cloud. Chad will not get popular fighting old guys - Johnson hurt him, Tarver was desperate and took it to him in 2 fights - and should look for the exciting fights.

Dawson will have done zero for his marketability as that was his HBO debut.

I feel a good match with Cloud will boost Dawson's marketability!!

I too think that a big punching fighter with stamina is the man to beat Dawson..
