Don't misunderstand me mate, I know the point you're making.
Fact is though, I don't think Wazza is any different to any other UK based Promotor.
We don't have fighters putting enough bums on seats.
The arenas you mention both have "flexible" capacities.
They can be adapted to fit the audience, and sometimes that can create an illusion on TV that the place is stacked out.
In 1993 there were 136,274 at a fight at the Aztec Stadium.
Bet the view was great from the cheap seats !
Just made some enquiries and Im told the official attendance for Ricky v Pacaman was 16,262.
Appreciate the venue can dictate at times - but I bet many non boxing fans thought there were far more there.

I was at both the Khan - Barrera and Haye - Maccarinelli fights and believe me they were sell outs. Your right in what you say about them moving people forward and closing off sections with curtains at some shows so it looks busy on tv but it didn't happen at those shows.

x2 for Haye v Macca as I was there.

With regards to other ticket sellers - there are not many BIG ticket sellers in the country - to use a pop chart phrase "Jeffries has gone in straight to number 2" in my view behind Khan if you discount Ricky Hatton

this is just a guess but i reckon the two froch shows i have been to at the Nottingham arena, they had maybe 10,000 of whom about 5000 were there for Froch and Froch only. i got the impression Hennessy needs his UC fighters to shift a fair few tickets as well as Froch...

I really don't think Frankie Gavin is going places. He reminds me of Paul Truscott, but with a little more pop perhaps. I would be surprised to see him get to European level. DeGale doesn't strike me as WOW!!! The one that's going to the top is Saunders*.
