are you having a laugh here? Harrisson would get a good hiding and be totally and utterly embarrassed by Naz before being KO'd.

No. It wasn't an opinion, it was fact.

A peak Hamed would have taken Harrison out fairly easily. Give him, say, five rounds at most before Harrison is looking like he's just finished a big night in Malaga

I'm trying to think about the fights that Hamed was taken a few rounds at his 1995-97 peak. The only two I can think of were Medina and Johnson, and they were both sent to slumberland eventually, and both, at the time, were a cut above Harrison.

What a fighter needs to beat Hamed, at his peak, is a granite chin, a very sound defence, fast hands, and stright, heavy, accurate punches.

Does that sound like Harrison to you?

Well, does it, punk?

I agree with your synopsis, but...

How can one man's imagined scenario about an entirely hypothetical fight between boxers whose primes did not come even close to coinciding, be a "fact"?

Dunno.*

*If someone said "Maybe Barcelona would beat Whitley Bay -- that's your opinion -- but Whitley Bay would stand a chance and I think they wouldn't be embarrassed," what would you call the view that said Barca would thrash WB? I dunno what it is. But it's pretty close to fact.

Yeah, but Whitley Bay is surely more Peter Judson than Scott Harrison.

Aaaahhhh, but then you're into infinite shades of gray. It becomes a case of where you draw the line, and is really a kind of meta question.

Absolutes and a confrontational style are surely more entertaining?

a Fact ???? didnt know they had fought

Harrison has beaten both Medina and Johnson and Imo i reckon he would have given hamed a Good fight
and im sure Hamed Struggled with Medina untill late on ( he had the flu apparently )
Harrison also struggled with Medina first time ( he also had the flu apparently )

So its my opinion that Harrison would have given him a good fight as you say "PUNK"

With you saying "a teeny bit of credit" it didnt really sound sarcastic. For the sarcasm element I'd probably have expected something waaaaay over the top credit wise, not a teeny bit.

Now Scott Harrison v Gomez, this is more like it. Harrison was a big featherweight whom many felt should have moved up. Gomez when in shape was a brutal pressure fighter. Harrison, enormously strong, straight ahead fighter. Gomez had some good moves but always took right hands aplenty and could be inspired, could be out of shape.

Thats was the supposed comeback fight for Harrison after the lost his title
but due to his out of the Ring activities it never materilised

Gomez was one of Harrisons favourite boxers due to his style
i remember Harrions Dad dismissin Gomez though ssaying hes good but Scotts World class.

that would have been a firey fight though , think Harrison would stop him though

Sadly we shall never know the outcome of any of these proposed fights

unless they all meet up for some un licenced stuff :box:

heres a thought im sure all Three Naz , Harrison and Gomez have been in Jail at some point

Well your opinion is worth exactly zero.

Johnson was a shadow -- a motherfcukin shadow -- of the guy who fought Hamed, and Medina was well below his Hamed standard.

That's rather like giving Jaes Toney as much credit for beating Evander Holyfield as you give Lennox Lewis.

So if I said that I think that Alex Arthur would have been able to give Azumah Nelson a good fight and you told me to stop being so ridiculous, I could guarantee myself some kind of equitable draw by saying "we beg to differ", could I?

Gawd. The time must fly in your house if coming up with absurd mismatches through the eras constitutes "Fun".

i think Scott Harrison is closer to Naz
than Arthur is to Nelson and Barcelona to Whittley . Maybe Barca to celtic or Rangers ( who have both drawn with them and beat them )

agreed Naz fough Medina , Johnson , Robinson AND Mccullough when they were at better stage in there careers
im not totally basing my opinion on that side of it but i think Harrison would give him tough night on the basis he throws alo t of combinations , would be the bigger man and is extremeley fit.

Paul ingle had naz in trouble late on in the fight if i remember as Naz stamina wasnt the best.

also just to remind you i still would tip Naz to beat harrison just dont think he would destroy him

*head bangs on desk*

Now, what's really concerning me is whether the yields on US Treasuries and British Gilts are going to continue rising and strangle off the green shoots of recovery, as well as whether the recent surge in crude prices is the start of a trend, and ergo, how secure my job is.

Gotta go.

The most underrated boxer ever.

At his best, and i can never settle on when that was, he was quite unbefuckinglievable.

Scott Harrison? doing anything other than being punched in the face until Hamed got bored?
