That was after the Etienne fight wasn't it?

God knows what excuse he'd have made if he'd lost.

Superman don't need no seatbelt," Ali snorted. "Superman don't need no airplane," the hostess retorted, a winner by knockout.

Can't remember exactly, Rob - it was during the several years of easy-ish opponents he was taking on - perhaps Morrade Hakkar?

The most memorable thing about it was this quote!

no not that long ago Ian mate (hopkins hakkar was aug 2003 and i think) pretty sure it was eastman chaps.

I remember watching the fight and was in South africa for Haakar whcih was quite amusing for the ante french undertones to it all with the Iraq war impending. I remember watchin it on tv there but with no sound.

Eastman i remember staying up for and it was pony, bhop coasted and eastman just did his usual half assed attmept then the I was robbed thing. Clear and easy nights work fo hopkins who got on his bike for the last 3 rounds as it was sown up.

Think it was eastman. :TU:

One of the most cringeworthy IMO is Calzaghe before the Hopkins fight. Something along the lines of

"Mary Popkins" and "After the fight he'll be singing Supercalzaghefragilisticexpealidocus"

terrible.

Funniest:

Williams before Audley fight "Once we're in the ring he'll be shouting 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here'"

Ali "If he even dreams of beating me he'd better wake up and say sorry"

There are so many Don Kng quotes, but I love this one, complete nonsense!

"I'm a promoter of the people for the people and by the people and my magic lies in my people ties. I'm a promoter of America. I'm American people. You know what I mean? So therefore, uh, do not send for who the bell tolls 'cause the bell tolls for thee."
