mbaye blows hot and cold hes a very decent boxer when he feels like it but mcclosky is on the up and will probably win on points, decent matchup if it happens

Really? I would be the 1st one surprised, French boxing is not really where the french have any financial muscle right now. Its like nobody cares for boxing anymore in this country :(

When I look at French cards - which is rarely tbh its seems that its mostly Moroccan and Algerian names with a few central African names - have the indigenous population turned their back on the sport? Seems sad considering some of the great fighters the country has produced.

I dont see many good French guys around, the best guys they've got all have connections with other countries e.g Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam is Cameroonian, Mezaache and Malik Bouziane have African connections I think.

I've seen some of their cards and they are pretty poor, they dont have a ggod depth and it's worrying really.

There is a long time Marrocan/algerian heritage and even longer Camroonean / african heritage. France had many colonies in Africa.
Thing is boxing is a poor man's sport in France, like it was in USA back then in the 50's...Except its much less popular than football (soccer), so you will have mostly black/arab guys boxing over here.
