Re: Dave Parris tonight.

when do you all think the rematch will be on??
I do think that Parris should have stopped it or at least not jumped in and given Marty a warning when Sexton was slumped with his back turned in the corner.adamburke83 wrote:rogie was f**king robbed tonight, the ref should of stopped it when sexton was in no fit condition to fight on 2 occasions,
and if the ref looked at the fight properly, he would of seen the first big punch that had sexton rocked he (sexton) had to hold onto rogan and they clashed heads in the clinch so in my opinion the fight (fair enough it was stopped on the eye) should of went to the scorecards with rogan winning by at least 1 or 2 rounds
If sexton wont give Rogan a re-match, He should be stripped of the title
It should happen within 4-5 months but we'll see. Its a damn shame as Rogan-Willaims would have been terrific. Marty's problem is that Warren may want to serve up Sexton to Chisora who he appears to want to fast track all of a sudden that is if Williams doesn't take the Chisora fight.mossy141 wrote:when do you all think the rematch will be on??
he robbed himself Adam. He Parris was "questionable" but Rogie had it within his own hands to keep his title and for one reason or another he didnt.adamburke83 wrote:rogie was f**king robbed tonight, the ref should of stopped it when sexton was in no fit condition to fight on 2 occasions,

Far too soon though considering how knackered they were and especially Rogan's eye. it just get this feeling the wheels may be totally off the Rogan bandwagon now and that his chance to progress to a massive fight are gone. Hope I'm wrong but at 38 and considering the way he performed throughout most of the fight I would be pleasantly surprised if he does win another major belt.mossy141 wrote:a rematch on mccloskeys undercard would be good

Definitely on the Rogan's sporting behaviour point which considering the circumstances was completely ludicrous however in my opinion Parris's display was not so much questionable as bordering on the embarrassing. I mean in that 8th round its safe to say that confusion reigned.sligobhoy67 wrote:he robbed himself Adam. Rematch!
Yeah but that's the game. I notice Sexton didn't hesitate lamping him when he dropped his hands.NorthEastBoxingFan wrote:Spud wrote:I thought Sexton was winning the fight from a points perspective - whilst the Ref did not have a good fight - Rogan's inexperience shone through when he could have knocked Sexton out.
Rogan's no mug, and he's no saint either...he's KO'd a few on that bloody Gaelic Games Rugby/soccer/hockey business before...I don't think he wanted to commit legal murder by letting fly the big sporting bastard. Good on you Rogie you're a top man and you deserve a REMATCH.
Whatever happens Martin Rogan has been a breath of fresh air totally out of the blue. Good on him.
I hope he gets he rematch and I think he can win it.
Well done to Sexton it must be said, he's 24, he lost his grandfather 10 days ago which can hardly help, and he's done better than anybody yet against Rogie.
There has GOT to be rematch here.

Ithought that too and also a couple more times through the fight he was getting in the way of the action.Coco wrote:I couldn't believe my eyes, Parris bought Sexton as much time as possible after refusing to stop the fight

Rogan had no vision out of that eye what-so-ever and a bang on call from the ref and Doc. Good fight, Good reffing, good stoppage.
Since when has it been an automatic point deduction.WayoftheCass wrote:"Good reffing"jonny wrote:Tell you what, you guys talk the biggest load of bollocks i have ever heard. No one disputed the stoppage but you can conveniently ignore the fact he pulled Rogan off him to issue a warning for a non-existent rabbit punch and never said a thing to Sexton about spitting out his gum shield (which is an automatic point deduction) all you want as it just shows your either biased as hell towards Sexton or you have no idea what you were looking at.
We're all talking bollox and your the lone voice of reason in the world then is it? I very good mate. Jog on!
Good stoppage bad timing though but extremly bad reffing of that there is no doubtjonny wrote:Tell you what, you guys talk the biggest load of bollocks i have ever heard. Hard man behind a key board I see. Take your bullshit somewhere else you little troll. So purposefully spitting your gumshield out to waste time while being attacked is not a point deduction is it? Indeed it doesn't even warrant a warning does it?jonny wrote:Since when has it been an automatic point deduction DICK Head. read the rules you effing retard.WayoftheCass wrote:"Good reffing"jonny wrote:Tell you what, you guys talk the biggest load of bollocks i have ever heard.
