When Bunce asked Francis about the tournament
He said he is not a fan of boxing, he doesn't know any of the other guys, if he loses he will retire
Not exactly thrilling to here if you are backing Francis
He should have the talent to go a bit here in the tourney, but a lot of the other fighters are dying for the opportunity
I reckon if Francis makes the finals, he could be in trouble over 9 minutes against someone who desperately needs the money
Francis seems a bit too laid back

Call me crazy but one guy I think has a shot is Buster Keaton if he is in shape because of his agressive, brawling style. I think the three-round format would suit him - though admittedly I can also see a scenario where he just walks onto a big shot and is KFTO.
Hey Ghost Kid, yeah I kinda agree about Francis - you just don't know what goes through that guys head. If it was a question of talent he'd win it hands down but at times his head just doesn't seem in it (see the draw with Vegas). Maybe he'll let his hands go because its only three rounds but if you've spent a career picking your shots its hard to change to a punching machine. Old habits die hard. Betting-wise I think for value you're best going for one of the other guys. But in reality all these guys are semi-active for whatever reasons so there is no form guide. Anything could happen!

I think Buster has a good shot, aggressive, busy and hard hitting, obviously has bags of experience to. I think if you are not careful it is easy to get hustled out of a 3 round sprint, Scott ad Corbett may suffer like that

That's my pick. He was a big talent during his prime, and hasn't taken a lot of punishment. Being a big puncher is a massive advantage in this format, and he has skills to go with it.

really good group of fighters in this one. ones with genuine pedigree but could have done with one or more young gun like Steeds.

I think Francis will take it though. plenty of support being drummed up for Dunstan but he's 40 years old and fought only once since '99 for obvious reasons. Steeds could be too quick for him in the semis if all goes well.

err...why?

that makes it either a catchweight prizefighter or a heavyweight prizefighter. surely rules cannot be bent for the hell of it, if the BBB of C sanction such events then a cruiserweight is a cruiserweight. the fighters had enough notice, they should be all on or under 14st4.

All of the prizefighter tournaments are set to 2lb over the limit.
