it's always confused me the confidence people have shown in Guzman stopping various mooted opponents over the last 2 years, though the fact that Guzman never actually makes the fight makes them easy predictions to make with little chance of being proved wrong.
ok so he may be streets ahead of bradley skillwise, but in terms of fitness, attitude, etc bradley has him there i think.
and so what, if Holt had Bradley on the deck? Holt's a big puncher, who actually has knockouts of people bigger than Agapito fricken Sanchez on his record, Bradley ran into a cracking left hook, and was up and fighting back in short order.
i think Bradley would do this on workrate and pressure, when Guzman's 35 punches a round don't stop him or have him backing off he'll end up taking rounds just like he did off Witter, IMO.
Guzman doesn't look like he's going to KO anyone in the top 20 ever again. I watched most of his fight with Ameth Diaz and it bored me to tears. Guzman has great skills, but I don't think they make for entertaining viewing.

maybe Guzman has never quite got over the disappointment of missing out on his career pinnacle, fighting World Champion Alex Arthur.
'rix- good point about Guzman's weight, same seemed to happen with Hearns, the minute he went off what i imagine was fearsome dieting to get down to 147, he started going up very quickly and it wasn't long before he was struggling to make 160 and was a viable legitimate light-heavy.

Guzman's lack of dedication is pretty well a given, he admitted as much himself.
Pacquaio is still bowling people over at 140, which indicates he's moved up the weights sensibly, and built extra strength onto his frame.

Yes but hearns was 6 1 with a heavyweight's shoulders and reach - that he ever made 147 is nothing short of miraculous.

Guzman is a better fighter then Bradley by a mile, imo.
If he carries the weight well he wins, but I think the fight will be postponed due to Guzmans recent loss.

I doubt the WBO turned Guzman down becuase he isn't good enough...since when did being good enough or earning your shot count with the WBO?
You can't get a sanction fee if Guzman doesn't turn up. The WBO have probably no faith in him showing.
Shame Guzman and Pacquiao never met. :(

Guzman would win this even though he would be coming up in weight.
Bradley beat Witter (just about)and that doesn't mean much in my mind. As was pointed out he was shaken by Holt, although Holt is a good boxer, he's not a great one and I consider Guzman to a great fighter.

not much less surprising that Guzman ever made 122, no?
wow, Bradley was shaken by a decent puncher on the way to winning about 10 rounds against him. jump right off the Bradley bandwagon, fans

I hope the bookies have Bradley as favourite like most on here have. There's no way Guzman will stop him, but he'd comfortably box his ears off for the full 12 IMO
