If he wasn't boxing he'd probably be inside or going round in nightclubs at 1am starting fights until he got filled in big style.

I love boxing, watching it, reading it, training etc.. but I wouldn't look out the back garden window to watch these lads box.
It's clear by looking at this thread what fight fans think.

If they could get their acts together, behaviour-wise , it might be different, thing is it would take a few prat-free showings to make up for what's already gone before and I sure wouldn't be interested in following them again.

He's got skills, but has he got the attitude to look back at his performance and fix some things about it, or simply think he's the bollocks and doesn't need to change anything?

Summed up nicely mate. I hope they do keep putting them on SKy though just so it can be properly caught on camera when Michael does get his head knocked off by a proper pro. ALl they are is ticket sellers for Warren, fair play to Warren he'll milk them for all they're worth, but definitely not the sort of people I would ever suport or like to see associated with boxing.

Well, they have a large following, that much is certain.

I do hope to see their quality of opponents improve, though, and hopefully their fans will realise this, too.

to all of you slaters. have you even watched these boys fite? or are you just going off the highlights that you stumble accross while youre searching for your mail order brides??? theyre good solid boxers from a good gym. all unbeaten and have been impressive. dont be suprised to see them with domestic belts by the end of the year! yeah michael isnt the most pc boxer around but look at his record. its working. look at the early fights of every boxer and they ALL fight journeymen. that isnt the walshes fault, blame FW, they can only beat whats put in front of them. and they have been. SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Well clearly you haven't read any of the thread have you. I've seen them FITE (fight for those who speak english) in the flesh once and seen another few fights on Sky Sports where theyve shown full fights. Plus the main crux of my problem with them isn;t that theyve fought journeymen, it's their disgraceful in-ring attitude and acting like they are the dogs bollocks when they are beating up journeymen and people in lower weight classes etc.

only michael might be percieved to have a bad attitude in my opinion. as for lower weight divisions friday was the 1st time any of them had fought someone smaller. on every other occation at least one of the boys has had to fight somone in a higher weight division.

as for reading the threads, i try to but the amount of garbage written by people that havnt got a clue gets a bit boring after a while!!

Very few prospects gloat when another fighter is knocked down, for example.

as i have discussed with you before whicker, this is michaels fighting style and i think that it will work up to domestic level, at that point he may need to adjust it a bit but its working at the moment.

It will work upto title level. When he fights a proper boxer, with a proper defence and a proper punch he will be in trouble. I can't see many people being sad if he does get in trouble either, they come across like dispicable little chav thugs. I'm sure without boxing they would be going out getting pissed, picking fights and generally being idiots so I suppose at least boxing might be doing society some good in their case.

In that fight Walsh showed some ability, and looked quite polished, as Hamidi has made many good fighters look below par.

But the one previous time I saw one of them fight, my feelings were the same as 90% of ppl on this thread, i.e. he came across like a wanker novice and it was dreadful viewing. This was on Setanta, the fight that most of us have seen & talked about.

My guess is that these 2 fights are of different Walsh bros as one looked far better than t'other.

I think that out of the Walsh brothers, Ryan looks to have the more rounded fighting style and is certainly less flash than Michael. At the moment, Michael is dropping people and having some success, simply because he is fighting journymen and because of that, he can get away with his flambouyant approach. Once he steps up in class and goes anywhere near a domestic title, that won't be the case, so it all depends on whether he can adapt his style and i doubt whether he can actually do that.

maybe Chris Edwards might be on the small side but throw someone like Kash the Bash in at them.....there's 3...I'm sure he's the same size as at least one of 'em......or a couple of years ago Darlington's Argie Ward........like to see you pretend touch gloves then take a pot-shot at one of them boys Walshy, you'd end up fast asleep "partying like a Rockstar" like Ricky Hatton the other week.

There's am American guy on Youtube that punched somebody, like one of the Walshes, after pretending to touch gloves, laid him out......no promoter ever went near him again after that and 2 years later he was trying to salvage his career by boxing his own brother.
