That does not make sense. Boxing usually booms in hard times.

Mundine won by split decision. I had Geale by 2 rounds. Best Aussie fight in years. Geale really proved he is world class.

Great fight, I had it for Geale but wasnt suprised either way. I thought the close rounds Geale pushed the action.

yeh but he wasnt afective enough and i felt everytime he scored mundine seemed to answer with something better in the early rounds mundine was not doing that and i believe that is what won him the fight

Mundine did land some decent shots. Though id say the punch stats would be well in Geales favour.

most of the punches seemed to be landing on the shoulders before the head but it really could of gone either way geale defiantly proved he is world class

I agree Mark. Geale at 28 has big things in front of him IMO.

I thought it was a clear points win to Geale, he was down in 2, but Mundine was down in 7 and was recorded a slip. Round 1 clearly geale and 3 through 8 all for Geale, Mundine 9 and then very close rounds from 10 to 12.

It's sad to see that the IBO thinks Mundine is the better fighter.

Wow, great stuff. I think a close, competitive fight is the best thing. Do you guys think they'll have a rematch?

mundine was 100x time mores accurate, landed the BIGGER blows, and at the end of the day they're the scoring shots i guess.

Seems the 2nd round knockdown was the difference.

I really think that was slip as he slipped in that exact same spot two other times without being hit.
