Cancelling Setanta
Re: Cancelling Setanta
Given today's news about David Haye, I'm gonna ring and cancel tonight. Can't keep this subscription going indefinitely waiting for one fight.
The NRL coverage and boxing coverage are both poor now and the premiership season is now over; My £12.95 per month will be better spent elsewhere.

true...I'm sure there'll be a decent stream for the Hay-Klit fight anyway should it be reschduled, I'm in with this.RJP wrote:Given today's news about David Haye, I'm gonna ring and cancel tonight. Can't keep this subscription going indefinitely waiting for one fight.

Might be a good chance the fight won't even be on setanta if the gossip is true. Just watch it on german tv. RTL free to air channel.

Re: Cancelling Setanta
Rang Setanta last night on the back of the Haye cancellation and got the cost dropped to 6.50 for the next 3 months.
That will do for now - I watch it for the UFC as well as the boxing - and I will re-evaluate at the end of the summer.
I hope they pull through this shaky period but 12.99 for the current output just isnt worth it in the prevailing economic climate.

Re: Cancelling Setanta
Not true. Setanta will actually have more football than ever before next season. 46 games in the Premier League. 60 SPL games , England games. Every round of the FA Cup AND new this season the Europa League.martinmrts wrote: boxing coverage hasn't been worth the subs lately, and football output is to be reduced massively next season. shame.
And boxing wise we've lost a couple of fights lately that is really disappointing but we have loads lined up for the rest of June and July stating with Cotto v Clottey next week. Keep watching ...Some crackng stuff to come.

Re: Cancelling Setanta
who wants to watch 60 SPL games? apart from the jocks, who must not know that much about football since they are still watching the SPL...
Re: Cancelling Setanta
I went to watch Buncey's show on my broadband subscription today and THEY had cancelled ME! Credit card not expired, plenty cash in the account - I must have the Swine-flu or something if even the most publically skint TV company don't want my money.
To be honest they've done me a favour as their Broadband service has been a joke lately, which is a shame because it is clearly the best channel for boxing here in the UK. It has most of the big fights, my favourite analysts and presenters, and in Buncey's show, the best boxing magazine show on TV. Just a pity it's run by a bunch of clueless chancers.![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

Re: Cancelling Setanta
I'm going to say I want it for £1 a month or I'm cancelling, and when they say no I'll just cancel.
Anyone else tried to do it by phone? I think I'll cancel by phone and if they complain I'll just say I'll be cancelling the DD.

Not as cold as the bloke I spoke to on the phone when I was trying to cancel Setanta a fortnight ago, what a attitude, he said they were not going bust and that whoever told me that was an idiotDavidPayne wrote:Thats cold Hagler.
I wonder if he has as much attitude with his JSA adviser
