I'd pick Bradley to beat Hatton, but I'm pretty sure Hatton would beat Kotelnik.

If Roach agrees to train him, Ricky will be back! We all know how the majority of fighters want one last shot at things, so I don't think there will be an exception with Hatton! He's a proud man, so I cannot see him going out of the sport with a defeat, especially one of that manner!

Roach trains his fighters to attacking, he's not as defensive minded as Floyd snr so how can he change Ricky?

If they do get together, it will be interesting to see what happens in respect of Khan-Hatton & who Freddy would train?

roach was interviewed only recently and never said anything about training hatton.

I think so to. I'm not going to mention them as it's free advertising, but there's a website claiming this is their exclusive news. That's where this info has come from.

Edit: This is a comment made on their news item:
Inaccurate reporting!!!!!!! Roach is not set to train Hatton. Hatton hasn't even decided if he's going to continue fighting and is away on vacation right now according to Max boxing .com and Hatton's people.

Ricky's in Tenerife right now. Last I heard was that he was still leaning towards retirement. Was very depressed after the loss.

I hope Hatton retires. He can no longer take a quality shot, and whilst Manny P is undeniably a legend, I can't help but think that the Hatton who beat Kostya tyszu would have put up a better fight.Even though I've always felt that he avoided junior and denied the british fans a great match up, I felt very sorry for him getting knocked out like that.

The Hatton that fought Tszyu would have given Pacquiao nightmares I think. Sadly, that Hatton's long since gone. When Lazcano puts you on queer street twice, you know your chin's gone, and Hatton's has for sure. I actually thought he was doing well pushing Pacquiao back for the first minute or so of the 2nd round, but fighting the way he does needs a much better chin behind it, and it isn't there any more.

ricky hatton will always be ricky hatton and i dont think freddie roach who im a huge fan of could change that. When he gets hurt the red mist will appear.

A fight against kahn would be embarrasing for ricky and id hate to see that happen. He always says witter doesnt deserve the payday but the public want to see it and all the trash talking would make great tv. Failing witter, retirement please ricky

If Witter beats Alexander, that's a good call.

hatton versus the winner of witter v alexander for the WBC makes sense all round

Hatton v witter -the battle of britain with all the needle that goes with it sure to do massive buisness

Hatton v alexander-The brit v the yank who beat the other brit-again sure to be massive with the buildup.

Hatton would sell out any arena in the UK even if he fought a dead body so the fact that Alexander is unheard of in the states probably wont matter.

has a possible reunion between hatton and billy graham one last time been ruled out yet.

Yes, I thought that too. He actually seemed to be imposing himself on Pacquaio at the beginning of the second, but as soon as he got hit flush again, it was all over.

Pacquaio is a devastating puncher, but like I said, Diaz and DLH (even a weight drained DLH), were able to stand up to his assault for many many rounds. Hatton was seriously hurt by the first southpaw hook he took.

When you look at how many massive punches he took from Tszyu, it's clear Hatton's chin is shot.

Hatton will always struggle with south-paws as he can't see the punches coming. If Pacquiao was fighting from an orthodox stance then we might've seen him win. Collazo nearly had him down, Magee had him down and Pacquiao had him down numerous times.

Only fighter to have him down from an othodox stance, or hurt a lot is Mayweather and he's the best boxer I have ever seen. And fastest.

Trust me, Hatton will never be successful against a top south-paw.

I think he beats Bradley if he can get fully up for it.

What a good-bye fight that would be in Manchester.

50 50 fight right now IMO and nearly every factor i can think of off top of head points to either a bradley winning or b hatton not taking it becasue risk/reward is all wrong

bradley younger faster fresher technically sound enough still learning the game. hatton with a lot of wear and tear. bradley would be banging in with head and elbows looking for all that scar tissue. probably, looking at him, bradley would be strong enough that hatton couldn't just WWE him around the ring either

nah, hatton ain't taking this fight

My instinct tells me Bradley wins again. Its possible that the factors extraneous to the fight robbed Witter of his will to win, but the advancing years, and the fact that Witter relies on reflexes and movement to a very large extent and the fact he's not been active lately, and I think you've got to favour Bradley.

Hatton v Bradley isn't a big fight, but it's still a winnable fight for Hatton as Bradley doesn't carry the kind of firepower to stop Hatton in his tracks, and he's a pretty prodcitable orthodox kind of opponent, and Hatton can cope with that.

He should retire he's a shot fighter but like most of his career he will probably fight a smaller man next i've always thought Witter would spark him
