Michalczewski v Zsolt Erdei - D-M at end of title reign, Erdei the newcomer. What stopped this happening was a flagging Michalczewski losing a (IMO) dubious split verdict to Julio Gonzalez. Erdei went on to beat Gonzalez; cue uneventful WBO reign.

Michalczewski v Carl Thompson, Johnny Nelson, Eubank - had DM been beaten at light heavy, in his prime, he may have gone back up to cruiser for the WBO belt he briefly won. Thompson or Nelson were holding the belt. The 3 Brits were on the WBO cruiser scene in the late '90s/early '00s.

Hearns-Hagler 2 would of been good also Benn-Duran were pretty close to fighting they sparred a few times but they did nearly fight i think

Nigel Benn was very close to fighting Michael Nunn in 95. Then Nunn lost to Steve Little and Benn was set to unify WBC/WBA on the Mccall Bruno bill. This was when King and Warren were doing deals.

I think Little got injured and Benn got that late replacement who nearly stopped him!

Tyson-Holyfield back before Tyson was banged up would have been tasty, Iron Mike was injured in a car accident and withdrew.

Might not have been a tasty fight, but Foreman vs Tyson would have been the biggest fight in boxing history circa 1995. They were considered 2 of the 3 highest earning athletes in the world at the time (Michael Jordan making the list) you had the baddest man on the planet, against the goody religious grandpa.

It simply would have made millions at the box office.

Veeraphol v Weean McCullough - both were punching machines. Weean moved up to 122 where he was too small and light hitting. I know Mac was having trouble making 118, but he might have been able to continue winning at world level. Veeraphol was coming up the WBC rankings, won the title couple of years aftre Mac vacated it.

Yes, this was a fight everyone would have tuned in to see.

I've heard from several sources that Tyson was intimidated by Foreman's reputation in his youth, and point blank refused to sign for what would have been the highest earning heavyweight fight in history.
