Setanta took a lot of criticisms and acted on it - I honestly believe they are streets ahead with the amount of fights throughout the world they show - just wish more of them were from the domestic scene.

If they have to make cutbacks to survive get rid of non league football, get rid of a lot of the sh*t games and get more domestic boxing on - and give the promoters a stark choice thats the pot we have left - do you want it - if you want bigger fights get the money through sponsorship - but for f*ck sake keep the sport on our screens!! - PLEASE

it looks like them days with sky are long gone. years ago on a ppv bill there would be 3 of 4 top quality fights and it would really be a ppv feel. nowadays generally its only the main fight that is really ppv worthy.

as spud said , the one thing i love about setanta is they listen to us the fans about criticisms etc and they interact with us on the boards to know what the fans are looking for.

Seriously every single one of us have to get behind Setanta!!!

Which British shows have they shown this year? I can only think of the Liverpool one.

there was appleby v lindsay from belfast as well. and there is another coming on 4th july.

if hennessey does not renew with itv i would prefer him to go to setanta rather than sky.

i noticed how he was mugging of super steve's dad walking away mid conversation pulling a face,he does this alot he was rife in the thaxton fight @ norwich.

you can sense rosenthal who is a proper pundit & proffessional,finds him a joke & took a pop which had mguigan in stitches.

Best thing about ITV is Rosenthal. His interview with Murray was very good, very smooth interviewer who is able to press people without them getting defensive or offended.

Appleby v Lindsay was absolutely bouncing, best British card broadcast this year.

yeah the atmosphere was electric. really came accross well on tv as well. i can only imagine what it was like being there live.

God Gabriel Clarke is absolutely cringeworthy. i started a thread in this similar vein a while back and he's still there creeping out the boxers and generally being a wankstain backstage.

You could see Murray's face near the end when they went back into his dressing room at the end, his face said "Oh no, not that fuckin bellend again!". It was funny to see. It's car crash tv, sort of hate it but like it at the same time.

Sky do a much better job of presenting the boxing, agree McGuigan was ok tonight he sometimes gets on my nerves, Thaxton is great as most the boxers are when they go on e.g. Barker, Froch etc.

When he got Witter to unbutton his shirt, it all got a bit much I did want to throw something at the tv at that moment. What the fornicate is Gabriel Clarke on, get him off my screen.

I dont like Clarke he's a bitty strange to say the least but I like the rest of them Rosenthal, McGuigan who imo is really godd at summing up fights and they usually have a boxer guest like Barker, Thaxton

gabriel clarke is the DG of tv presenters.

Exactly - I like Gabriel Clarke on the football, one of the few reporters who can speak to Sir Alex without licking his arse yet does not try and be a controversial get like Geoff Shreeves.

Yet he is a joke on the boxing.

The problem with Setanta is reining in Bunce. On the one hand he can be excellent, lot of good stories, lot of good info, but then the ego takes over. "I did this, I said this, me, me, me". Same in every interview "we go back, don't we?, remember when I told you this." Last week's boxing hour was just about unwatchable for all the self-glorification of himself and Setanta.

To be fair, whilst the timing is not good... its the question any boxing fan would want to be answered... given he has fought all three.

Plenty of good interviewers have asked similar questions - I agree though the timing is wrong.

The timing was wrong therefore the question is shit.

The essence of a good question is aking it at the right time surely??
